To be fair Leverington gave us a good game, and the scoreline was a bit tough on them. First half was fairly even and we went in 1-0 up. First 20 minutes of the 2nd half Leverington put us under some pressure with the wind at their backs, though they did not particularly look like scoring.
Once we went 2-0 up midway through the 2nd half the game was over, and in the end could have been more than 4, but as I say that would have been harsh. It was our better quality in the final 3rd that won the game for us. Leverington will be fine and finish just inside the top half I think.
And as i see in the paper tom all of you strikers scored ,that is a nice headache to be having

Really annoyed that we were called off today in County Cup - frozen pitch???? intend battering them next week now and naturally pleased Yaxley are out, though quite a bit of me wanted to give them a proper game at some point this year.
Great results today for us and for the league I think - earlier in the week I questioned the actual strength in depth of the league and today Alconbury & Leverington have proved it is strong - hope it stays that way.
And well done Whittlesey - genuinely pleased - a strong Whittlesey team is good for the league.
Game on!!!!!
