long live general lee . do u have any players u can buy on champ manager?? not sayin were a one man team , as ur prob aware he aint our top scorer
having played for you and some of our lads played against you(sundays as most of team play for both) we have absolutely nothing to fear from the general.
anyway why isn't he playing for marcel in the 1st team if he's such a star?

Now the people who know me, understand i'm not the guy to bragg and "big" up my team when there is a showdown of a game ahead, but i would like to say i'm personally looking forward to it !!!
This General Lee character???? Did he not play against us last time ??? cuz if it's the person you are all saying he is , and he's gonna tear us apart, he must of loggd on to the Champ Man web site and added a few new attributes to his profile . :str:
However, i'm gutted to say we are not playing at our HOME venue ..The 1st team have got a cup game and probably half my squad so it looks as though we are at Fulbridge road... CANT WAIT !!!!!!!!

To my knowledge Dong Sik Lee is the only player currently registered within the peterborough league who features in a version of Champ Manager (99-00 edition) Whilst he was playing for Sydney F.C and picking up one of his 5 international caps.
I have heard that wimbington first team have also got a hungarian ex international (?) or slovakian of something? don't know the details.
Biffa, he wasn't playing in the first game, we were awaiting international clearance and a work permit at the time.
Tip:the only way to stop him is a perfectly timed slide tackle by firmly pressing the square button whilst using the left analogue stick. however general lee's "R1 and X" stepover combo does sometimes render this particular strategy inaffective!

isn't steve corry still signed on for you? if so he's been in about 5 champ managers and there a player in the pboro league(sundays) who has also been in it on many occasions and guess what he's also played for netherton but can you guess who it is?
anyway i've been a £200million pound player on champ manager back in my deeping days!!!!!!

Dave Norris never played for Netherton....
There is also a player called Eddie Winks who is at stamford bells who is on champ manager. Used to be at St Johnstone in the Scottish League
well done matt mark paul is right. so him and david norris make 2 players on champ manager who have played for the lord westwood-i bet thats quite a shock!!!!

If the fixtures are correct and true ... you have wimbo ob's , Psl res,woodlands,and then after all that if that wernt enough... Chatteris.
Talk about playing all the top teams at once ??

Hi all, i thought i would finally join this site and introduce myself to all those who dont know me. My name is Pino (Italian for those who dont know) I run the Netherton reserves Saturday team. Just would like to say that the season thus far has been fairly good and i hope that it continues to be so.
we have our own secret weapon but we're not gonna disclose it as it'll come as quite a surprise!!!

brett only played for us this week to come back from injury and to be honest his style of play didn't suit ours and probably prevented us from scoring more goals!!!!!
undoubtedly the most skilful player for miles around though!!!!

Not only is it a big game this sat ....We have also got to play chatteris again at them at the fenland bernabog !!!!!!!!!!
also , due to some of my players thinking that they are def starters from week to week, and us dropping points against oppostion,(ie.chatteris..scoring an equaliser in the 9th min of injury time ?????)
we have got to hope that they loose against netherton or woodlands.
However if what im hearing is correct , Netherton are sponsored £100 per player to defeat the mighty PSL .. i cant personally see that being a tough game ??? :lol:
As for our secret weapon.... certainly not BB .. Appreciate him coming down and playing for us , but he did not suit our playing formation ( and his best mate on the sidelines ripping the S**t out of my lads.Sorry i didnt think we playing in the prem !!!! )

i think that woodlands hav alredy plyd chatteris twice, its definatly a race btween chatteris and psl, although the consistency of netherton is cloudinh the issue! and i think that gedney hill cud hav a say in the of the destiny of the title.
Incidently mr bacon, u say u hav a few players who hav a chip on there shoulders, (for want of a better phrase), how do u, or did u, deal with this complancey in a title chasin team???

Well Mr 12 yarder...I'm not going to disclose what went on behind the closed chaging room doors , but end of the day ..I'm the gaffa and NO-ONE is indeispensible.As you are clearly aware , i told every player what i thought and what needed to happen , otherwise the door was behind and they could leave right now.I think they got the mesaage and since then we have not lost agaian !!!!!! actions speak louder than words !!
I have been impressed with a couple of players, There attitude and commitment is 2nd to none.
Especially this 19 yr old.he has been dropped for letting me down, and he got dropped last season for turning up drunk !!!!! :bub:
However he has come on leaps and bounds this year and has really shown his true colours, a fantastic attitude towards the game and his teammates... and gaffa !I just hope this lad can continue this form over till the end of season .. :dsc:

2 s**t performances this season have given us our only 2 defeats(in the league for you people in carrot land!) we didn't turn up today whereas netherton did. fair play to them and hopefully we can get backk on track and they can do us a favour against chatteris twice.
oh and 3 subs with 40 goals between them didn't help us either but thats life and we just have to get on with it.
oh and general who by the way?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? :blh: :blh:
key players for you today were tozer,westy and some bloke in the middle bigger than eddie and matt put together!!!!!!!!!!!

I seem to remember the General doing an amazing 'R2 and X' trick that he learnt in while starring in FIFA 2006 when he'd got to the touch line, taking 2 players out of the game completely and leaving them looking a bit like :mad: , and supplying the cross for our 2nd (and probbly most impotant) goal...
And you're right....webby's a fcuking big bloke!
secret weapon was supposed to be corry but he couldn't get the time off work to play and pay his fine to you and get tansferred. oh and he wouldn't have been playing up front(certainly wouldn't be much of a weapon there!) he would've gone at the back allowing me to create things from midfield which is what we severely lacked!!!
definately a deserved victory and unbeaten runs from us both til the end of the season will see us 1st and you second and keep both teams happy.

lol good secret weapon mate . psl are a bit like the weapons of mass destruction in iraq. shame dave didnt play . would of won by a few more although the fighting stakes would of been good to see . dave and the mad scottish keeper VS starkey and webby! now id pay to see that
also noticed jb has now migrated onto the other site peterborough prem talk for a while after that 2 weeks of banter on here :soo: . . . .
eddie can you please inform that carthorse starkey that you have actually lost this season and to US. all he kept saying during the game was "we're unbeaten in the league this season" and he made himself look like a right fool as we all knew that we had already beaten you!!!!
netherton had nothing to lose and everything to gain on saturday and it really showed as we had a lot to lose and are now relying on other teams now as its out of our hands.
there you go eddie i managed to squeeze a bit more out of the subject!

regarding the creativity comment that is what the rest of the lads have commented on and it's a feeling that a lot of our team have in general. come on this is theoretically div 4 so i'm hardly saying i'm needed to star for england am i?
its all about doing your bit for the team-wherever you need to play and i'm sure biffa would back these comments up.

dont remember any meggs :soo: but i wasn't actually bigging myself up i was pointing out where our attacking style of play had been lacking. we've started playing to defensively against teams when they should be worrying about us not the other way around. saturday was a big eye opener for our whole team.
if people are gonna knock honest comments i'm gonna come back with something derogatory of something to save pride about them aren't i its human nature just like you've had a shocking attempt with the meggs thing!
still i've asked nicky to check you don't have any kinks in your body tonight after the tightness of those knots!

Jb . you know i will always speak the truth , and on this occasion i'll def back you up.
I think you'll find ix that Jb has had no choice in playing in the back for me these last few games... i have supplied the 1st team with a quality centre half and he has offered to help out .. to me that is a REAL team player.. in which i have 15 others in my squad like this... we are not joint top for no reason .. and to be honest we didnt perform against you and you cant rip jb for his personal game... ( aprt form the blatent handball ) !
