View Full Version : Graeme Robinson Memorial Football Tournament

Morning Guys - Whittlesey United will be running a six-a-side football tournament in memory of Graeme " Robbo" Robinson on Saturday 26th July - entry fee will be £40 per team payable by 1st July , teams will consist of 8 players thats 1 keeper, 5 outfield and 2 subs.

The day will be finished off with a Hog Roast and Disco at Childers, £3.00 per ticket.

All proceeds raised on the day will be donated to Robbo's family choice of charity, Asthma UK.

Please PM me if you are interested in submitting a team - I will then forward to you entry forms, kick off times, rules etc

Update- Regarding the Robbo Tournament, we have had fantastic intresst and support from everyone and im sure this will be a fantastic day, there are still a few places left for any more intrestrested parties. Just PM me.



Also wwe require refrees anyone wanting to make them self available will recieved good hospitality etc......... Again intrested parties please PM for more info...........

Afternoon Gentlemen,
Looking forward to seeing all those of you that are playing in the tournament in memory of a good local bloke "ROBBO". For those not playing but wishining to come down and join in the ale and celebrations the more the merrier the event will start around 10 ish and im sure there will be planty of people in attendance.
Final thing to add this is a FAMILY FUN DAY so wives, girlfriends and children welcome. Activities to include:-

Numerous Rides, Face Painting, Free Bouncy Castle, Barbeque, Ice Cream Van, Penalty Shooy Out. Followed by Evening Entertainment and Hog Roast where children are again welcome.

Come support ROBBO'S day and raise money for Asthma Uk

Thank you everyone who supported the event yesterday and helped to make the day such a special and memorable one , a fantastic day had by all - thanks especially to all of those teams who made the effort, both by playing in the hot conditions, and to those who attended the evening event as well, you are real stars.

Congratulations to Fletton, worthy winners.

Well done to the organising committee, and in particular Dave and Katy, Micky, Phil and Bert. You all did Robbo proud, thanks......

Totally agree bluestar a fantastically run tournament for a worthy cause yesterday, couldnt believe we won! Everything from the football to the beer tents were superbly organised and im sure robbo would have been very proud especially with the huge turnout!
The only disappointment is that im like a beetroot bcos of the heat, it was roasting!
Once again congratulations to everyone who went through a lot of hard work and dedication to make this event happen:tup:

Forgot to mention, i was only the top goal scorer for us with 5 (along with brads) but we wont go into that! :tup:

Thanks for everyones support sorry its too long to get on here just to busy these days. Hope everyone puts in the diary for next year when hopefully we will have the same fantastic support. All teams that entered did a good job and ASTHMA UK will be happy.
