I was talking to a Sun afternoon player yesterday and he informed me that a certain AK11 player who is banned (Jaffa as he is known) came on and played against PIS a few weeks ago. The team buy all accounts brought this to the league or refs attention and were duly told he had no affect on the result of the game so the score would still stand and the team would not be punished.
Now i dont no about anyone else but if a player is banned and plays even 30 secs in any game with the team and player knowing fully what his situation is, then both should be fined heavily and a further ban should be set in place.
How the f*ck can the FA expect anyone to respect Refs and them if this is the kind of example that is being set!!

I think the title of this thread says it all regarding the management of the sunday afternoon league.
Was the player in question banned altogether or just from that particular game? My side are playing AK11 in a few weeks time and it'd be good to know.
i know that a player who regularly uses this board played in a pre-season tournament weeks before the season even kicked off and the team won the tournament. In the proccess they defeated a side who has one of their members in the sunday afternoon set up. needless to say they got stripped of the cup and it was awarded to said persons defeated club! all this because he wasn't signed on playing in a tournament before the season had even kicked off.
that league is a joke and from what my old man has told me it used to be one of the best leagues around many years ago.

Just spoke to the Ak11 manager who confirmed that the club were not aware of the ban..the manager even checked with the FA a couple of days before the game but again wern't made aware it. It was only when an official at the ground flagged it up 10minutes after kick off is when Ak11 truly knew about the ban and he was taken off immediately (score was 0-0 at that point)....I think there will be a replay at some point!...
Stop hating ppl....5hit happens!! Obviously we arent too pleased either because we have to go out and beat these guys all over again, so im sure Ak wouldnt have used Jaffa if they knew the situation, esp when we had 4 subs available!!
After years of playing on a sunday afternoon would everyone love AK11 to become a Saturday Side? Not sure if work commitments stop them but I for one would love to play them on a Saturday!
Don't hate AK mate . . . just the Sunday PM league in general. They don't appear to be transparent at all and only come out in any shape and form when something bad happens. Maybe if they had a more public image and presence, negative things wouldn't happen in the first place!
I love how Raph whinges all the time, and keeps trying to steal players!

I refereed the sunday pm pfa cup final at the end of last
season. Where unfortunately i had no choice but to give a 2
players a straight red card . One of those players was Jaffer Khan.
Both players got 21days suspension to begin on the first september.

If he got a straight red then he would have known he was banned and so would his team, his manager and the FA, saying otherwise is a bit of a cop out by whoever says it.....

2 fast i no for a fact that Jaffa and the Ak management new that he was banned for the start of the season, for me the league has bottled it and for this reason and this reason alone is why Sun Pm is losing so many sides. If the league is not prepared to punish these players and teams, then for me it shows a total lack of respect to every other team and player and offers no protection against these thugs!!:batr:

I just looked on the sunday pm web site
and even though ak11 won 4-0 against PIS
the result has been changed to a 1-0 win for PIS
therefore ak11 having the points and win
taken away

Ok guys i have an update and an apology to make to Sun Pm league, i had one of the officials on the phone this morning to inform me that the league itself have reversed the result for a PIS win(which geoff pointed out) and as a result this is all they as a league could do. I didnt no this but its upto the county FA to punish the player and team any other way. The league official also informed me that teams do not follow up any complaints or gripes with ak11 they have which is why they apparently get away with so much. So take note if anyone has a complaint on any team follow the correct procedures, instead of shouting your mouth of to every tom dick and harry. This way i dont get phone calls telling me my facts are wrong!!lol

It's not just AK11 - most of the Sun PM teams are ill-behaved.

Now now Raph are you telling me that Sat pm and Sun am teams are any different, the only reason Sun pm teams have a rep is because the lads in jail from fri and sat night are let out at 12pm and go and play lol:puke:
Just talking about some of the challenges I have been on the end of and the apparent lack of discipline. Can only go on my own experiences, maybe I have been unlucky.

I know not football wise, Gary Neville is rubbish!
I just believe that the Sun PM league have an opaque modus operandi and they don't do anything to enforce any order . . . but then condemn their teams when they fall out of line.
I have to say raph you are spot on.
