Reading about different posts in different threads, bout all sorts of rules. The one that is the most popular and intresting debate is the good old video technology in football...
what does everyone think, should video technology be introduced?
I dont think it should, its good having controversey in a game, the Watford game for example, it provides everyone with something to talk about on the monday morning. And i bet the media love it....
What you think... yes..... no?:scr:

Sneeks im with you on this i think controversy is part of what makes the game so good!!
But with all the mistakes Refs make and the hassel they get maybe its only a matter of time before it happens!!
The FA must surley be looking at it to prevent the recent Man Utd penalty descion and John Terry sending off resulting again. as lets be honest it makes them all look like idiots!!
in my opinion they should introduce video technology but only on the goal line for the 'was it over the line or not' decisions
nooooo... takes away too much to argue about Ross.
keep the game as it is.

Yeah i agree with shaun, keep the controversy..... refs get paid very well to make big decisions, so if they make a bulls up big time than they should be rightfully relegated.... Bring in video technology and it'll slow down the game and make it to easy for Refs.... try and keep refs on their toes ;)
What about giving each manager one challenge per half, similar to Tennis. It would be very interesting to see managers, players and fans reactions to decisions if they can actually dispute a decision, there would certainly be fewer rattles being thrown about and bad examples set by these professionals.
It would throw up a lot more different talking points and after the challenges have gone, the same old ones would remain.
Just a thought. Shoot me down at will.

Ok Gazza i wont shoot you down just yet but please propose how this would be done??
I don't bloody know, use your imagination Shaun. I don't necessarily think it would be the best thing for Football, but it is another idea on the table for discussion.
Thinking about it, it can't be that long winded to set down how it will work. If a manager wants to challenge a decision he tells the fourth official who tells the ref and whoever is going to review the incident. If done properly it will be quick and the game will continue on after 30-60 seconds (about the time it takes most of them to stop rolling around anyway).
Like i said just an idea for discussion i'm not sure how beneficial this will be for the game.

I like that idea, they use it in rugby if there is controversy in a try or out of play

I am all for video technology, but not at every beck and call, should be upto the refs discretion. Yes it is good banter on a Monday morning having the controversy, but there is so much money involved these days a crap decision can make or break a team, i'd like to see it, even if it's just for a trial period at first.
Sorry for being the boring one chaps.

Video replays are the future, and the sooner the better. I'd rather see a game won fairly than by the cheating of one or two managers and players. Controversy is one thing fair play is another. Would anyone really want to go home knowing they had lost a cup final because both ref ans assistants were looking the other way. Put the 4th Official in a box with 6 monitors and a 10 second playback button. It normally takes Sky 5 seconds to play back a decision in that time Ronaldo would still be flat on his face, Terry would just be starting to moaning at the ref and the goalie would be getting the ball back from the crowd. Cut out cheating - set an example to the youngsters and suddenly the game becomes cleaner and fairer. Wouldn't that be nice?

Nope.....
Keep it as it is.....
who Bought up the whole, one rule for everybody at all levels subject?
So if we bought video technology into Pro games it means there will have to be different rules added, which mmeans theres a change in the game, so we'll be playing with one set of rules and pro's will be playign with another
Also, what happens if Posh draw Man U in the cup, then what do you do then.....

It's already like that Sneeks in loads of different ways - For instance refs and lineman in the prem have headsets and they don't at our level

Ok guys think of it like this, footballers greatest players came from a era when the game was a mans game.
Real diving etc has only come into the game since the rules changed about tackles, you still got diving etc but never to this degree. It only happens because players no as soon as they get touched they can go down because the laws of the game have changed so much in 20 years.
I for 1 hate the way that our game is going, look at how many fans were at games in the 60s, 70, 80s and even early 90s and now look how many fans there are. This for me is because football has changes so much it has lost its appeal and what it was about. Now its all about money!! who cares what you win mate we are considerably richer than you!!!!!
Players no this and exploit it for what it is and so much pressure is on managers and players alike now from idiot fans like Newcastle that if they dont perform they are sacked.
So tell me this if this happened in everyday work would you not do all you could to get the win so you had a job the next day??.
The game is becoming a joke and if it continues with all this stupidity then it will lose all its appeal.
Anyway didnt a russian linesman help you English boys out or summit!!!hmmmmmm

I agree to Shaun.... But.... its never going to change now. Its going to have to have a total restructure and thats neve going to happen. We have too many douche bags in charge that are just there for the lime light and the huge pay packets. e.g. sep Blatter, just loves making a name for himself!
Its the same with just the system al together, like that Pro Keeper that killed 2 kids while 2wice over the limit, can be out in like 2 1/2 years they reckon....
Now if that was some body else wud he get the same treatment. YES, they would, i think u have to go on a mass killing spree to be able to get at least 10 years in prison now ( 5 with good behaviour)

Wot u talking bout Gazza.... u had too much to drink mate?
Simple to sort this out. Get Jo cole and Ronaldo ect... every time they dive. on video evidence 3 match ban and a weeks wages, thats that sorted within weeks. change offside rule to one referees understand (like the original). next get Blatter and sack him thats international football sorted, and stop the fa handing out fines to managers who have spoken the truth if a ref has had a mere, why not be allowed to say so if the referee was any sort of bloke he would put his hands up anyway.
Video tech, no thanks not during the game thanks I enjoy the banter after the game, take that away and there is less enjoyment in the game.
oh and add wenger to the list, whinging git

Harbs i have just had confirmation CHUCK NORRIS WILL BE ASSASINATED!!
Who actually got accredited with the goal in the Watford Vs Reading game?!
Yes to video technology on the goal line, no to video technology in connection with off sides and penalties.
It works in Rugby because either way it's a dead ball situation, whereas if a lino gives offside when it wasn't, or a ref gives a penalty when it wasn't the video technology wouldn't work, because it would still be open play. How would the officials get everyone back in their exact positions to continue play?
I dont get what your saying my old son
Post above got changed so i don't even understand it now. Don't worry yourself.
