goldhay rangers are on a roll,....
4 wins from 4 games and going from strenth to strenth, even won on sunday when most were hung over from a heavy session on sat night,
div 3 champs?
Not exactly a hard thing to do when its the worst level of football in peterborough.

bit harsh lads... some of those teams on their day aint bad at all, and all of them are decent lads who actually enjoy their footy week in week out...

thats right , goldhay glad ur doin well . u can only do whats asked and win against whats infront of you . wish u and all in div 3 the best of luck . just think maybe 4 games into the season is a bit soon to make any predictions , and errrr u may find most teams go out and have a session . 30 of us went on a stamford run , 9 bars later and dont know how many drinks 1st win 8-0 and res win 13-1 against a side in ur division . maybe playin drunk has its advantages lol .
prince of wales were missin there star man lee ayres but they battled very hard and had to play 70 mins with 10 men as 1 pulled a hammy . but fair play to them and played in a good spirit and bet on there day could maybe give u lot and most a good run out .

yeah cheers Sean... we must be playing the worst I have ever seen. Def the worst start ever, however we all still play with a smile and enjoy the beer/banter after.
Nice to see those comments above re: level of football down in Div 3. The standard isn't that great in the top leagues compared to other towns/cities. SO YOU HAVE NOTHING TO BE PROUD OF!!!!

Well done to Fenland police for beating Brotherhoods at the weekend. A team that usually languishes at the bottom of the pile taking points of the top of the table. Other teams can learn and take points from F Police who turn up every week (and get hammered plenty of times over the years) but still enjoy there football and play the game in the right spirit, an example to us all!
Also Goldhay beaten Sunday. Something I doubt they expected?

We play goldhay next week I think, should be (hopefully) a close match
A good convincing win for your lads Kev against PIS at the weekend? They use to have a half decent team at PIS?

Lee, Yeah - a decent win. Could have been very different, we were 1-0 down, went 2-1 up with basically the last touch of the 1st half. PIS had only 11 players, our 2 subs turned up about half-hour into the game - fresh legs helped us later into the match.
Anyone know if/when the next round is drawn?
Kev, its one of those cups where the rounds are mapped before hand I think mate. If you look on the northants website (www.northamptonshirefa.com (http://www.northamptonshirefa.com)) under fixtures and results pick the cup it is then it should show you mate.

Nice one mate, Sunday Shield apparently. They haven't updated the weekends results let alone the 3rd round fixtures yet!

I would expect Borocars to beat Goldhay. SKS beat them with a weak team on Sunday because they cant defend (apparent in both games we played them recently). They can play a bit up front but will concede goals at the back...
Plus they get distracted byt their Gaffas ranting and barking dog on the sidelines....

...is exactly how the game went.

so how did the game go exactly then ??? reports ?? ...
Borocars went two up inside 10 minutes due to a defensive error and a goalkeeping error. Goldhay pulled it back to 2-1 after half an hour and it was even until the break.
Borocars found themselves 4-1 up after 55 mins due to further defensive mix ups - mainly not being able to handle a big striker - and 5-1 up with 20 to go. Goldhay snatched one back with a good header from a corner and a further after a good strike from one of their forwards but the last 5-10 were uneventful.

^^ to be fair mate, only had one of our regular defenders, other three away, our left and right back never played there before, so in one way you were right, we did not defend well, due to an untried and un-expiriance back 4, all in all we was missing 5 first teamers, and our keeper was injured as you could see during the game, he was not moving well at all, but you beat our 11 on the day so a win to you,
but was a cup game so **** happens, hopefully we have our full team when we play next in the league,
and once again the dog was barking away, but thats what they do?

mate, but thats Sunday morning football! Every team misses players and you just have to adapt.

Can't blame mistakes or anyone for our 5th goal. Left back beat the right winger to a goal kick, skinned the right back and delivered a pin-point cross for our big striker to head home - probably his first header of the season aswell.
Did i mention I played left-back??
