Game was played today and we won 3-1 to progress onto the quarter finals, the best team won on the day in terrible conditions. Any other results from today?

We beat Parkside Star 3 nil, fairly easy game to be honest and we could have had more, Bushfield pitch was fine, much better than the bog that was Fulbridge Rd last week!

terrible condition ??? i would hardly say a wind down pitch means terrible .... i only saw the second half . i would say pretty even , we pushed and got done by a break away ... then we got back to 2-1 lovely goal by abs and then as we got back into it give one of the softest goals away ever .... so so bad defending .

i hear u lot battered us in 1st half so maybe yes u deserved it overall but just seemed like a game with liitle in it between the sides .... but u came out on top . if i was looking at it with neutral eyes i would say both defnse and attack would be equal on both sides but netherton have no midfield wot so ever .....

anyway at least our res team won without hamad and michael as there 2 of our gd defenders who played in the game as jp couldnt play as he hadnt played 2 league games .

hope racin have a gd run now in that cup , always best to lose to the winners , . 1st i have seen of the new look racin side , very good and maybe look fav for league .

our first defeat of season apparently and to be honest from what i saw unless the attitude changes wont be the last . .

Racing tend to batter teams in the first half then take the foot off the gas in the second, when they have the measure of teams and know that it is pretty much sewn up.

I agree eddie you had nothing in the middle of the park but Ant Thomas & Harbs both played well in the middle and gave you no time on the ball and chased down almost everything all game. Scother was poor for you lot yesterday as he did nothing but moan all game and the lad he was playing against was injured and struggling to move and he still could not do anything!! The 2 league games in Jan will decide the title, I think we play you twice in 3 weeks with Fratelli's inbetween.

Raph not sure bout your taking the foot off the gas comment lol... it was only 1-0 to Racing at half time and we had a few chances in the first half to level and had a good few chances in 2nd half too! decent game tho

Hamad, not foot off the gas in the sense of going from good to poor, but from very good to just good.

It was a game of chances for both teams and when you look at Jamies finish for the 3rd and the build up for the 2nd all you can do is hold your hands up and say "nothin we can do about that"
I dont think you have too much to worry about though eddie, your not going to have to mark Jamie, Brownie and the other lads that were a little relentless on your defense.
