What i want to know is peoples thoughts on beckham moving to milan????

Why is it such a big deal i think moving to america was a bad idea for him in the start.. And i dont think moving to Milan is going to help him. Dont get me wrong he is a great player, i just think he is a bit overrated. He is more popula then ryan giggs and that is pants, as giggs is a legend, but you dont see him in all the papers.

So come on people tell me your thoughts on David Beckham in general ??????:idea::conf::conf:

He is playing well at the moment at Milan and will sell them a lot of shirts. Lilywhites in London is permanently sold-out of Milan shirts bearing Beckham's name.

Though he is past his best i still rate him.

Don't see how moving to Milan is a bad idea for him though Badmanz. He blatently went to America for the money (not that he needs anymore), the PR and because his missus told him to. I think the pace of the Italian league suits his style. He can also then look back at his career and say he played for all the great club teams..United...Real...Milan.

Theres a lot of negativity towards him matching Bobby Moores caps, but people seem to forget he was a quality captain and the Greece qualifier game where he basically took them on on his own. In years to come maybe he will be looked back on in a different light.

Your right Giggs is a legend I think Giggs isn't in the papers as much because he chooses/chose not to live that lifestyle as much as Mr B. Beckham and his skinny missus are a brand and look to have the attention from the press, most of the time.

I dont think Milan would be interested in paying for the whole Beckham package if he wasnt playing at a level that meets their starting 11. The decision can only be good for Beckham and for England, as we are still without a decent right midfielder.

Its not a coincidence that where Beckham goes he is successful and the performances he puts in noted. He is creating and scoring for Milan and their big names (Kaka, Seedorf, Maldini) have all commented on his quality.

One thing that does amaze me though is how Galaxy seem willing to sell him, the hype surrounding them will instantly drop and the interest from England / Europe will dissapear. Its rumoured a figure of £10m will do the trick but that seems cheap to me considering the package they paid for him. £10m is a steal for a player of his quality and experience.

Yeh i suppose all your points are right, i just think he isnt at his best and is becoming over rated.

Dont get me wrong he is setting some good goals and he is scoring, i just think that he needs to step back and think is milan the best move, he will have no lime light as people like kaka already have it. And when it comes to the selling out of shirts with his name that will happen everywhere he goes.

I think the strength of Brand Beckham was shown during the Rangers friendly last week and the sell out crowd. He IS good enough for Milan. As reported, Ancellotti wouldnt just play him because he is a big name, he would have to meet the grade, and he is.

They may have Kaka, Seedorf, Pirlo, Gattusso, Pato etc but Beckham will still be a big name, the same way Henry is at Barca now and Van Nistelrooy at Real Madrid.

I hope it happens. But for all concerned about how Beckham is playing for Milan I believe BBC have purchased the right this weekend to show the live coverage of the Milan derby. Nice one - that's a justification for paying my license fee.

Oh yes, Live on BBC 3 I believe ? Don't think I have ever tuned it to that channel but I'll defo be watching on Sunday eve.

I think its a great move, the football is a much better quality in Italy than in America. I still think he should have stayed at Madrid but wasn't playing when he signed the LA Galaxy contract - bet he wishes he'd waited a few months tho as he fought his way back into the Madrid side and finally won a medal there only to then have to go and play 'Soccer' !

He's still got it, past his best but can still put in a good shift - plus you don't need to be stupidly fit to control a game, I remember seeing Jan Molby play for Kidderminster @ Posh when he was fatter than Neil Ruddock and he was the best player on the pitch by a mile! (Can't believe i've just compared Beckham to Jan Molby, oh dear!) Plus, seen his 2 Milan goals? Anyone who has ever played football would be chuffed to have scored those beauties.

So.... hope the Milan derby is a cracker and c'mon Celtic too!
