Semi Finals

This one could drag on and on and on and on.....
Bauer v LT cracking game this morning, LT go 1 up then we lead 4-1 after 50 mins, then 4-4 at FT, 4-6 AET with the Gibbs bro's a right handful all game - shame it's spoilt by LT fielding a certain ringer!
**** rolls up before K/O and 2 of our lads used to play alongside **** at Gedney Hill a few years back, LT lads call him **** all game and Swanny can't believe it seeing he gave his name as **** when he booked him hahahaha... Sad to say we had to get a photo of him just to be sure (after the Deeping farce against us 4 or 5 weeks back), shouldn't need it though as Swanny had several words with **** in the game and told us he'd defo remember him if/when asked by the league.
Big shame as we've had cracking games v LT over the years and usually look forward to em.
Only reason I'm posting it on here is, we're pretty sick of teams fielding ringers against us so blatantly, it's not as if we're decent and you have to bring in ringers to beat us...
And the wierd thing is, the LT lads had 3 subs on the bench with 2 of them being their normal decent central midfielders - WHY? :scr:
Ash and Billy would have been trouble enough for us on their own and actually did better than the other lad when they came on. Not to mention Russell who was also on the bench and played well.
Exactly BOTN and how bad does it make you feel when teams put you in that position taking the ****. Cannot understand with 3 subs as well? Something needs to be done.

Hi Guys,
One or two of the games being played on 1/3/09 are being played at a different venue to normal.
i know Keith from the PSMFL will advise all teams but sometimes the management forget to tell ALL the players.
So if you know any players from any of the following teams let them know
DIV 1 - Coates v Cherry Tree is being played at BUSHFIELDS
DIV 3 - Sporting SKS v Brotherhoods is being played at FULBRIDGE ROAD
Div 3 - Werrington Rangers v Prince of Wales Feathers at WERRINGTON LC
McCains Cup - Borocars Citroen v Thomas Cook is being played at WERRINGTON LC
Cheers Fella's
Hi realtharhegoeza.
Ref: McCains Cup. What stage is the Borocars v Thomas Cook game mentioned above for next weekend? As it does not feature in the draw (also above)?

that is ludicrous! what a completely stupid decision to play someone illegally who isn't as good as the legal players they have on the bench.
biggest own goal of the season by miles!

Tell me about it... Ash Fone and Billy Hilliam on the bench, Both of them come on and pull the strings to cement a win for them.
**** is a decent enough lad from what I know of him and he played well/fairly for the most part, but Ash and Billy equally as good and sat on the bench?
That in itself is odd enough, but to be so blatant about it, calling him *** all game in front of Swanny, plus they must known some of us would recognise **** is taking the p*ss, it really is!
Over to the PSMFL to sort out though, don't relish them the task of having to deal with it all - Jack also got booked and gave Swanny Jimmy Whites details - not a good move for LT, Jimmy and Jack.
Can I just state that we have (or had) nothing what-so-ever against LT, we have enjoyed 4 years of excellent games against them, all the games are tightly contested with banter through-out and always followed by hand-shakes regardless of score etc.

thank you bud, good luck in your quest for promotion, see you in league next season then? cheers
I cannot believe with billy and Ash on the bench any side would need to play a ringer, they would get into any team in that division without a doubt, but that is not what surprises me most, thats the fact that some of your lads knew him and they still played him, I really do hope you guys have made a mistake yourselves, because if everything you say is right that is going to be one huge fine the limetree is going to be paying.
Nothing to add, just wanted to praise Moe for having the best Avatar:sm:

Moe - it's no mistake, 2 of our lads know the ringer they fielded VERY well as they played alongside him at gedney hill for 2 years a while back.. Also the lad named on the teamsheet is known to another one of our lads and he spotted it was not him...
The entire LT team called him by his real name (not on teamsheet) all game and Swanny noted that because he booked him early in the 1st for a late tackle.
We took a photo of him and he tried to hide from it after the game, Then 2 LT lads wished us well in the Semi as they knew they'd been busted and would be thrown out...
oh and to top that, another Sunday manager watched our Extra Time played out and knows the lad on the teamsheet, he has said it 100% defo was not him and is prepared to say that to the PSMFL.
I understand Swanny is also prepared to ID the lad that did play if needed by the PSMFL
It's a total p*ss-take, as we have to report it and then be involved in something we'd rather not be, we just cannot understand why they wanted to do it... it's now in the hands of the PSMFL and I pressume also Northants FA now, so we await their decision/investigation.
I know Jimmy White from LT and I know it was Jack that I got booked for fouling too! It wasn't Jimmy that was playing.
I'd rather go through by winning and we lost after being 2 goals ahead, but rules are rules. I have a whole Saturday squad of ringers I could call on for Sean if need be, but we don't. The same happened against Deeping in the PFA Cup and nothing was done about it, so I am not holding my breath.

rules are rules, unfortunately some people are just too thick to adhere to them...
Seems like you have a decent case..
Innocent until proven guilty and all that, but IF Lime Tree have played an obvious ringer you would hope that they would hold there hands up and avoid any further embarassment. I'm sure if Mandy (who sits on the PSMFL committee) knew the facts she would act honestly.

I like and respect Mandy a lot and I'm sure once all the facts are with her, she'll deal with it properly..
Just a big shame LT did it, took the p*ss while doing it and have therefore put Mandy and others in a position where they'll have to handle the inevitable fall-out, possible fines, bans etc etc....

You should take a look at your own team on saturdays before being so judgemental on others Raph. Its not so long ago that you were pictured in the et with a certain player from our reserves. Who, unless he changed his name, wasn't the player named in the line up....!:scr:
Is the back giving you some gip again Al!!
Maybe you should have a word with your Chairman who gave the lad permission to play for us Alex . . . if I had thought that the registration/transfer process had been unsuccessful, I wouldn't have let him into our beautiful photograph!
I'm not going to get into a slanging match with you Alex, as unfortunately Luke didn't register in time and we held up our hands and admitted our error . . . I am sure the PDFL will gladly provide your a copy of their disciplinary meeting minutes. Your Sunday side, however, didn't have the balls to do so . . . so don't throw stones in glass houses.

Steady on lads...
Alex, it was myself and Mick Belson who manage and run Bauer that spotted and reported the incident with LT, Raph had no part to play in it at all, so it's a bit unfair to link him with it by saying his club did a similar thing on a Saturday..
Harbs - give over mate, stick to winning div 1 (you're good at that!).. we're 5th in the league which was our target at the start of the season and but for ringers against us, we should be in 1/4 of PFA and Semi of Hereward Cup (watch this space on this one) - so not bad for new boys to the Prem!
Who says the sunday Morning League is dead.....???
At least there is one SML tradition that keeps on going and I dont mean Westwoods drinking habits.........
......Bauer going through yet another round in the cup by default!!!! Keep it up lads.
We actually progressed as EMAP the last time, so it's a new tradition Nipper!

Sundays not dead as long as the banter keeps going...... keep it coming lol.
Going through by default is not what anyone wants, but what choice do we have? Let someone progress after fielding obvious ringers against us, would you if you lost to ringers '10 goals' or Harbs lol? I doubt Scott or anyone else for that matter, would allow it!
The strange thing is why bother against us, if we're so rubbish?

Another example of deja vous?!!
Nothing changes: same clubs blaming each other; same names as before blaming each other!!
ID Cards? What a good idea!!
Surprising J Prince, who was the most consistent complainer re ringers when I was on the PSMFL, has not appeared much this season on behalf of Farcet, although, for all I know, he may not be involved with the Club any more!
At least I am not being blamed for this latest farce; I was blamed for hammering those we could prove were guilty , albeit a Committee decision, but it is almost impossible to prove cases such as these, unless credible independent written and oral evidence is available.
ID cards? Not a bad idea!! I was agin them originally until the Data Protection problem was resolved last year.
ha check b.o.t.n out getting all crabby... raph knows im pulling his chain, your normally the fisher on here sean!
must be age kicking in.
lets be honest nick no need for id cards as long as sean has his camera phone were all sorted ;)

not crabby mate lol... just miffed at facing ringers when there really is no need for it, paperwork and cr*p to deal with we could all do without - still enjoy the banter as ever though.. you're right about age tho, I played last 30 mins against LT and felt ill after 5 minutes lol, I managed a good 56 minutes each game last season!
just watched Wales lose to France in 6 nations, sets up the Ire v Eng game tomorrow nicely!! Up the Irish!
Raph a few facts for you as you seem a little confused...! 1. You need to put a seven day approach in to sign a player from another club and we have never received one hence luke is still registered to us. 2. if all was an innocent mistake why not put his name in the paper 3. I have spoken to our chairman and at no point was he aware of luke playing for your club, and why would he agree to one of our players playing for another team 4. I have no association with deeping athletic i am manager of deeping sports and have no say in what they do or dont do, but if what you say is true then they too are out of order..!
Back of the net although Raph may not of had a part to play in your decision as manager to make the complaint to the league, he still has an opinion on it and i'm just pointing out a few facts.
Whilst we're on this subject i must totally agree with all thats been said about illegal players. As a club you get every opportunity to sign players in the right manner. Every club has until 28th february to sign players so why the need to play "ringers". And i agree they should be named and shamed
Harbs - give over mate, stick to winning div 1 (you're good at that!).. we're 5th in the league which was our target at the start of the season
Just a few points.......
#Harbs has never won anything!!
#Remind me again how many teams are in the league BOTN?? 8?? So you could well be 5th but you can also be 3rd from bottom???
Nipper - do you want some salt & vinegar to go with that huge chip that's on your shoulder?
thanks for pointing that out Nip.
i do have a most improved player award from about 5 years ago :P

That's not a chip foxy, it's the whole sack of spuds he's sporting there!
Nipper, there was 9 teams in the league, one folded as you know but we cant do anything about that, our aim was 5th or 6th at the start of the season and we're 5th, so whats the problem mate?
Alex, agreed mate, name and shame.... You should know Wayne Aldake, I think he helps run Deeping Res on a Saturday?
Why not ask him why he was playing against FC Bauer on a Sunday in the PFA cup a while back - he wasn't on the teamsheet but scored 2 against us under Mick Woodcocks name. We reported it but Deeping (Sundays) denied it and the PFA took their word for it after waiting 3 weeks to look into it - must be nice to field anyone from Deeping you like when in the cups eh?
Sean, I would not pick a fight with alex if I was you mate...lol
Playing ringers is not new and I am sure that the one player did not win the game on his own,so it is a technicality that Bauer will (possibly) go through on and I personally do not blame them, I agree they should not have done it and the stupidity is beyond belief that they would do so especially as he is known to players on your team, anyone would do the same if it means staying in a competition they fell they should still be in. as for id cards it is a waste of time and money in all reality. Nick I do believe John has other things to occupy his time now and does go to see them as much as he can but like all of us some things are just more important.

lol, not picking a fight with anyone mate, Alex has talked sense on here and I was agreeing with him on the name and shame thing.. I did however find it a little ironic and funny that Deeping had fielded Wayne against us after reading and commenting on this topic.
Like others have said, it happens all the time and to be honest if a team is honestly struggling to field 11 players and they bring someone in just to fill a shirt then fair enough I suppose, as long as the person in question isn't clearly above the level he's filling in for?
He scored 3 against us Sean, got a rebounded penalty for his hat trick.
The thing last week that was annoying is we only had one sub, who had to go off because he got kicked several feet up in the air for skinning somebody after about half an hour.
This meant for the rest of the game we were down to a bear 11.
They had three decent players on the bench to bring on in the second half.
We drew the game after 90, had to go to extra time where they had fresher players to go on and beat us with.
Maybe it's our fault for only having one on the bench, but they should have only had two on the bench!
Things like this make a difference in such a competitive game as it was.

Spot on Craig. That is the exact point. They had the chance to use three subs and could utilise them all when the game progressed and we tired. They could take off someone and replace them with someone fresh to play centre mid, Poor Raph and Mick had to chase all game. We on the other hand had to muddle through after an injury early in the first half. I am not saying one player makes a difference but three sets of fresh legs after the best part of a four week lay off is definately only going to improve a teams chances, especially with a game that goes into extra time. Also, we were winning 4-1 until LT began to make their subs, which probably speaks volumes.
As has been said, the decision has left a few people scratching their heads, including me.
Raph a few facts for you as you seem a little confused...! 1. I have spoken to our chairman and at no point was he aware of luke playing for your club, and why would he agree to one of our players playing for another team
1. I am not confused and the player in question informed me that Deeping Sports had allowed him to move with a cancelled registration, thereby eliminating the requisition for a transfer. I put a registration form into the PDFL on the Saturday morning, which was not received in time.
2. Our teamsheet was written the day before, by my Secretary and not changed in time (bear in mind we asked Luke to play on the Friday night and he allegedly asked his Chairman on the Saturday morning) This is why the name was different in the newspaper.
3. Moving forward, I have learned to conduct all negotiations and communications through our Secretary; Carmelina, rather than go by the word of a player . . . albeit a very trustworthy individual and a friend.
Bear in mind this is my first season in management and I had been a little naíve!
This is one of about 45 registrations and transfers to our squad, it is one that didn't follow correct procedure and as a result we were punished by losing 3 points, a hefty fine and we now need to replay the fixture.
I hope that is sufficient clarification?
PS - that's the first time I've seen someone comment on me running for the whole game, plus extra time, without taking the p*ss, haha! Cheers Scouse
Hi Nick, still alive and kicking, but not quite as hard. Pleased to see your outlook on Registration cards has changed, We at the PSMFL ought to have been brave and pushed them through 3 years ago.
I still fly the flag for the cards, I cannot abide the cheats who use the cheats charter written into most amateur leagues.
The PSMFL, PDFL and Sunday afternoon League are now getting more "ringer" complaints than ever before, If the PJA can deal with it why can't grown men?
It's only the people looking for an unfair advantage that try to put a spanner in the works. What are they frightened of - apart from being found out
Farcet Utd are still in my blood and I shall carry on doing my bit for them until I can do no more.
