Going along to watch Pekins v PSL Wednesday anyone? 2 bottom half teams from last year I know but up for it this year and everyones favs.
Alconbury v Hotpoint biggest game of night though - Hotpoint to carry on good start
A potentially tough game for us Tues night away at Drove. And then an interesting 2 Saturdays where we've got PSL at home then PSL away!! How did that happen then? Would be fantastic if we came out of that with 9 points. A good win for us Saturday which i thought was deserved. Should have been 3 or 4 up in a 1st half that we dominated but only managed the 1, a well worked goal after approx 20mins. then Moulton scored with their only chance of the half on about 40 mins - header from a corner. They should have snatched a 2-1 half time lead right at the end of the 1st when a shot came back off the keeper but the forward somehow managed to miss, but that would have been an injustice. A fairly even 2nd half with neither keeper having much to do then late on Moulton's left wing back hit a decent effort from 25yds which came back off the post. Within a couple of minutes we had clinched it with a good deep cross to the far post and a header back across the keeper into the far corner. Whether Moulton would agree but i think the correct result

u boyz r doing well foxy. for me there is no shock how well hampton have started this season, a very gud team in with as gud a chance of winning the league as all the mentioned so called top sides.
a gud move 4 u mate frm crowland. look 4ward 2 our nx 2 wkends against u.
Ditto buddy. We've both got a series of tough games. You with Perkins then us twice, us with Moulton Sat just gone, Drove in the week then you boys twice. I know it's early on but these games can have a huge impact on the final straight.
Really enjoying at Hampton, predominantly because a great bunch of lads with the right attitude, every single player always gives 100% and i think we must be among the fittest in the league overall. Even with the mighty Ortonians gone i don't think this season will be as much of a let down as a lot felt pre-season!
c u Sat, good luck Wed

The Ortonians players have gone all over the place and Parson Drove is now March Town. Saw the Moulton team in the ET last night and they are a lot worse than last year. Where have all the Crowland lads gone. Hotpoint now Fletton and not as good as last year. Alconbury struggling. All the rubbish at he bottom no better either. What is going on?
Perhaps we are all waiting for you to live up to your name and come and rescue us

And another ting. Got the ET and that is rubbish now with half the teams not even covered and managers having their oppos talking rather than themselves. Would go and watch PNS but they are a load of Jocks from Corby and not a single local player in sight. Wots that all about???
If you hate local Peterborough football that much either:
a) be proactive and do something about it OR
b) don't bother showing an interest if all you're going to do is criticise and chastise people/teams
Simple really

I am 59 years old so a bit beyond getting involved fella. Just expressing opinions. Where have all the players gone - not to PNS and what are they playing at - there are loads of decent players from Peterborough but they don't seem to be playing in the Peterborough League or at PNS. Whittlesey for the league no problem as they looked far hungrier for it than Perkins last week and can't see anyone else to even give them a run for their money.

I can back that up. Thought we gave them a couple of good games but yes, very good side (PNS)
Reminds me of the time I went to Belfast when the 'troubles' were still happening, I got in a taxi and said to the driver King Arthurs Close he replied don't worry fella I'll lose him at the traffic lights.

Took in Parson Drove v Hampton tonight - 1-0 to Hampton from a Dave Stratton penalty after 40 minutes or so.
Not a great game to be honest. Hampton look ok and I reckon will be about 5th to 7th, but after 4 good wins from 4 might be aiming higher?
Parson Drove about 11th to 13th and spirit is still there but not quality or belief.
Going to Perkins v PSL tomorrow and will be interesting to comapre them with what I have seen elsewhere so far - along with Whittlesey & Fletton that will be the top 4 maybe???

also went 2 watch hampton at parson 2nite, poor game! won by a stupid needless penalty. have 2 say that was the only way any1 was going 2 get a goal.
didnt like how both lino's kept talking to their defenders. thought they weren't suppose 2?
then again most of both teams management and lino's did come frm the lower leagues where this happens alot.
thought parson lino was a bit dodgey (an opinion)

Thanks for pointing that out Carefree, are they getting his name wrong on purpose because thet are ashamed to be connected with Pboro. In fact this week they didn't have a comment or the PNS team in the ET though it was in the Corby paper.
Thanks for putting me straight King Paul Arthur, the PNS Doug Ellis with 4 managers in 2 years. If they are mostly English then I now fully understand your decision to bring in a manager and entire team from a town 30 miles away.
More importantly expect a close game tonight with PSL sneaking it over Perkins.

Another night another 1-0 away win, but a much better game with some feisty challenges, good football and a cracking goal from Gareth Sanderson after about 35 mins.
PSL deserved the win, but their fitness went big time in the last 15 minutes and they were hanging on a bit in the end. PSL probably the strongest side I have seen yet, but not taken in Whittlesey or Moulton, just need some cover in centre mid to cover the suspensions!
Perkins suffering a bit at present from making wholesale changes to their team in the summer, and searching for the right combination and formation - no doubt they will get there, but might be a better bet next year?

 spider man still got your facts wrong again . i was watching ortonians for the last two season sad to see them go. like watching good football so will be watching P.N.S. this season. it all about sport and having fun. ASK PUFC if all there players come from p/boro. i came from ely 40 miles away does this mean i can not watch or play in p/boro. its time to move on .and thank the people for all hard time and work they put in to all the teams in p/boro so we can watch and enjoy.the sport :soo: SPEC nice one like it .(but the only time you got a taxi away from trouble was a night out with tommy trophy :dsc:
