someone pinch me please - my beloved West Ham have signed Tevez and Mescharano on permanent deals :pty:
heard all the rumours about MSI takeovers, dodgy Russians and feeder clubs and you know what ? I dont care, the Hammers have signed two world class players, not has beens, but 22 year olds with their playing futures in front of them and I am LOVING IT!!!! :dncr
As an Arsenal fan im gutted, but chuffed to bits for the hammers. 4 of us at work today have been keeping a very close eye on this. We were shocked when they announced permanent deals, as we were certain it would be a loan deal.
Tevez would fit into the Arsenal squad nicely i reckon
There does seem something a bit fishy about this though, how did West Ham afford the 2 of them, must be in the region of 30 million for the pair?
I phoned my mate ( a west ham fan ) I asked him how the hell the hammers have pulled this 1 off . He said they must of got lost in London and gone to the wrong club lol lol it's nice to see them go to a club like west ham and not the likes of cfc afc and mufc . Looks like my club are doomed we needed three new defenders and one more striker. Looks like the toon army are not going to be very happy come the dead line. oh well

It's funded and sanctioned by Chavski and STOLEN Russian oil money..
I'm a big footy fan and have always watched and followed the Prem but for me this spells the end!!!
How on earth can the Russian at chavski get away with it?
He own MSI and they have funded the move of these 2 top quality lads to West Ham...
Surely everyone sees that Chavski are bringing them to West Ham so their rivals cant have them and also if they turn out to be quality then they will 100% be wearing Chavski shirts within 2 years!!
The World Cup was pretty dire with all this big money talk and big egos on show but this is getting stupid...
best of luck to West Ham - I actually love the Hammers (I'm a Gooner) and hope they do well but for me the Prem is all about the cash now and it's getting boring already... Sky/Chelski/MSI/Cole v Arsenal etc etc
I'm actually really tempted to go support Posh again after a 15 year absence and forget all about the circus that they now call the Premiership..

Hey BOTN as an ardent Hammer whilst I have some concerns as to where the money has come from and of course they will move on to bigger clubs in time - for now though they are playing for my club and I am in dreamland.....
And before you decide to give Barry Fry any of your hard earned cash just watch the Big Ron Football Manager series on Sky, then you will see what a real circus looks like!
Suspect there has been some clever editing on the programme but to date nobody has come out with any credibility as far as I am concerned - gotta feel some real sympathy for the Posh fans when they see the club being made to look so bad. Don't expect that ever crosses Mr Fry's mind though. :shake:

Hi bluestar,
I wish the Hammers all the best for this season, as I said I quite like them - not sure why to be honest !
I've watched the Big Ron thing and yeah it's a farce and was only done to give Fry £500k... But watching that level of money merry-go-rounds and deals etc cannot be as bad as watching whats going on in the Prem nowadays can it???
Russian billionaires laundering cash, Randy Learner ( ), Glazier, Cole v Arsenal etc etc.... it's all light years ahead in terms of FARCE than P'boro and Fry!!
At least Fry only scams the odd 100k now and then plus they now have a half decent squad and by watching them and NOT the prem I'll be doing my bit (however little) to protest at the way the MONEY and marketing has taken over our game at the top!!
I'll still follow my teams results but any money i would normally spend towards the Prem will go elsewhere for a while I reckon...

Managing a team on a Saturday means I dont get to see a live game as often as I would like, and as I wouldnt give Fry a penny of my hard earned dosh I only get to see West Ham when they play on a Sunday or in mid week - the good news is that I already had tickets for their next game at home to Villa on the 9th so with any luck I might just catch the debut of the Argentinians
Should be a sell out with any luck, and with a full house there are few better places to watch a game than Upton Park .....

You won't give Barry Fry your money but you'll give it to Chelski and shadey business men that dont have West Hams best interests at heart?
check out http://www.squarefootball.net/article/article.asp?aid=1571
It shows what a terrible state the game at the top has got into!
Yeah Barry Fry is a bit of a crook and he's robbed the club but it appears as if this sort of thing goes on EVERYWHERE in the game and I'd sooner watch my local team (small time crooks) rather than support the decline of the Premiership with any of my money!!
Lining Barrys pockets won't hurt the future of football... (it'll just be a little gutting)
Supporting the Premiership at the moment will....
Best of luck to the Hammers n all that but I wont be watching it and I've now gone right of my 2nd favourite team in the Prem for going along with such a blatant scam!
Rejoice for now you Hammer fans because the biggest losers from this situation are not going to be the likes of Man Utd who don't rely on the revenue from Sky to keep their heads above water !
Skys viewing figures for Prem games have been in decline for the last 2 years, so much so that they are scrapping the Premplus pay per view matches next season. ( Check with sky if you dont believe me. )
Sky have already informed the premier league that when the contract is up for renewal they will be tenuring a significantly lower bid than their last one.
No-one knows for sure why the viewing figures are down but the informed opinion is your average British football fan wants to watch a competitive league where there is at least the possibility of a different outcome each season.
Before you repost with the Liverpool 80s Man U 90s domination scenario think again. These were two great teams who achieved success through the old fashioned method of establishing a great club with a huge and loyal fanbase and then building a great team from those foundations.
As much as it stuck in the throat we would all begrudgingly acknowledge that these clubs were the model to follow. How many of us can hand on heart look at Chelsea and say " now there's a club who deserve thier success ?"
So make hay while the sun shines West Ham ( thats the board not the fans and palyers ) because when your outgoings exceed your income in a few years time you'll only have yourselfs to blame!
I believe you'll find the wages of these two Argies are being paid by the investment group who "own" them.
The plan is to use WHUFC as a European shop window to better demonstrate how good these players are which, in turn, will secure greater interest from the big Euro clubs.
So long as the bigger clubs make an offer above a pre-agreed £xxM then the deal with WHUFC is that the players will be released.
How much of this agreed £xxM will West Ham get?
You read the lastest, possible takeover bid for West Ham
Hmmmmmmmm...................interesting!!
I would say none the hammers will get bums on seats and a good chance to get in a euro cup you can't ask for more than that now can you ????
Trouble is after a season of watching this standard of football are the fans going to accept mediocrity again?, probably not!

yeah and the 'Investment Group' that own them is run by Abramovich and therefore it's Chelski pulling the strings....
It's taken the money-merry-go-round to a new level and it's seriously going to ruin the game and a few clubs into the bargain...
wasn't tevez on strike at corinthians? i get the feeling west ham have landed themselves a couple of troublemakers. i hope i'm wrong cos for some reason i would like to see west ham do well too!(and i'm a gooner as well as my beloved posh!)
i hope it works out well for them but it'll be interesting to see what their attitude is like if they struggle to adapt to the english game

what an utter load of kak i have just observed on BOTN and WTFAMU posts on this topic. Roman abramovic has no stake and no involvment in MSI at all. MSIs intention has always been to take over West Ham, and after all Kia Joorabchian is a well known West Ham fan and has tried on a couple of occasions to buy west ham. Kia Joorabchian right hand man is a top footie agent who helped us purchase yossi benayoun last season and also tevez and javier yesterday, yes they are associated with romans world of oil and money but the west ham thing is his own doing. and as for WTFAMU comments on who deserves to be wealthy and succesful in the prem.......lol you have to laugh, utter toilet. hopefully what this will bring is another club who can make some sort of damage to the top clubs and compete up there, football is totally run by money WTFAMU and ive had to sit and watch while west ham sell every home grown talent weve had and hopefully thats a thing of the past now. just imagine if you would have had to do the same in the early nineties, would you have won everything going...i think not. the more clubs we have competing for trophys in this country the better and if a rich oil billionaire wants to spend loads of cash at west ham and try to make them as greater than they already are then go for it.
im just buzzing bigtime :pty:
get the piano out tonight robbo

WTFAMU he has box's at arsenal. liverpool madrid ajax milan etc, i suppose being a millionaire these are his perks. still laughing at ya last post though.
BOTN he made his money the same way as roman hence same world. and if you really believe that west ham have just been bought by roman you wanna stop reading the daily sport.
Laugh away, answer this question in the mean time though!
If he is such a big West Ham fan, how comes with all his millions he never got a box at Upton park?

What about the Tractor Boys - Farmer Giles compost heap might turn into oil in about 1,000,000 years and then we can really start competing - in the meantime we sell Parkin & Forrster for a combined £0.5 million or so, and spend it on..............no-one - just brought in Legwinski who was allright at Fulham but is now 32 and another bloke on loan that no-one wants in Macken - just hope Darren Bent gets on today and Wednesday as we get £200,000 from Charlton for each of his first 2 competitive England games, which will knock a bit off our £45,125,452 overdraft!
Tommy me ol mate this is a football forum . I think you are looking for this site mate www.farmersweeklygroup.co.uk
Mark don't ever become a comedian mate lol . Stick with the camera .
Just had to resurrect this one, what the f"*k is going on at Upton Park now?
Talk about panic buying, Upson for 7.5 mil and then they let him stick a clause in his contract that he can leave if they get relegated. Sounds like he's really committed to the cause.
Still laughing Glen Whufc?
The same thing that's going on at every level of football these days, it's called player power and there's no place in the game for it.
Glen isn't laughing, he's fretting on whether he's starting tomorrow
