Pinchbeck 1- 2 Whittlesey
Very tight game in which we showed the better side to the team. Must say that in places we made a very good Whittlesey team look average and in my opinion we should of took a share of the spoils. But as they say a sign of a top team winning when not playing well.

hampton 2 psl 2.
crap game, crap conditions, crap officals!! (my opinion not psl's)
great call foxy thanx 4 doing the line 4 ur lino as well as playing! u know what i mean.
Not sure wot you mean Al 'cos i think there was only 3 offsides at my end of the pitch all game. :soo: Graham's one of the fairest blokes i know. Who had the other end of the string tied to your lino?
Conditions made it a difficult game to play in and i think both sides were better against the wind. We should have been 3-1 up in the 1st half but it wasn't to be. Neither keeper had much to do in a stale 2nd half where it appeared both sides had already settled for a draw.
Well we're still both unbeaten!

carnt see how you felt somthing out of the game pufc army we could and maybe should of been out of sight at half time missing 3 one on ones and numerous chances. first half you had one shot and scored a great goal from distance wind assisted. second half to be fair i think you had 3 maybe 4 chances but was dealt with comfortable. once we went 2-1 up controlled the game last 30 mins. dont no if its a management thing but why is it you take an age over goal kicks free kicks ect so easy to get organised when you take that long was you only playing for a draw
pufc army
03-09-2006, 10:38
Thats why i said it was in opinion. Wind assisted he was going in 2 the wind. But fair enough. Cant say we do take ages over goalkicks no longer than any one else. Like your gk going from one side to another to struggle to kick it. Free kicks unless a short ball is on why rush things you might as well set them up properly. But football is a game of ifs and buts and plenty of varied opinions.

quite right people see the game differently, we only slowed things down once in front. the wind was terrible taking nothing away from the lad who hit the screamer as he probably wont hit a better shot all season, was a good battle and can see you finishing better than last season just glad to come away with the points as our record at your place is terrible.
Totally agree with al, awfull game not helped by the conditions. Only 2 or 3 psl players could say they played 2 half of
what they are capable of.
Saying that we had, the better opportunities by the end of the game!
A late flag when Dwayne was through on goal, may have cost us the 3 points.
It seemed a very dodgy decision from a poor lino.
WOULDN'T WANT TO BE PLAYING ON THAT PITCH COME DECEMBER/JANUARY!!

I was at the game and cannot blame either assistants. Both teams had the chances to win the game. But overall in my opinion 2 poor sides on the day.If either side does not perform to a higher standard then neither will be in the running to win the title. My assessment is that Hampton are a hard working side but are not good enough to finish in the top 6.If they finish halfway then Paul will have done a great job.PSL should finish in the top 6 and their best finish in the Premier league.I fully expect Perkins and Fletton to finish 1st and 2nd with Whittlesey to contend in 3rd.PSL, Moulton and Alconbury as my top 6.Anybody agree or disagree?Regards. Tom.

surprised that spec hasnt been on line normally has a lot to say but keeping quite this year, for a side losing a lot of players there doing well. i think this shows how it works loyal bunch of players who want to play for there town or manager with obviously a bit of skill and focus and your not far wrong of winning things.

atty, it wasnt a late flag frm the line it was a very late call for offside by foxy, after he know that dwaine had left him and his co defenders 4 dead, which made the lino put his flag up!
a desperate call frm foxy! yes
lino a cheat? cant say that. not knowing what he was doing,? DEFO!!!!
Not necessarily keeping quiet Blueboys, very busy with work at the minute and never been one for predicting what i think my team will do, although I do seem to offer alot of opinions on other things !!!
Surprised we are being tipped to win the league already especially by people who haven't even seen us play yet, we are nowhere near the finished article yet as I'm sure those who have seen us play will have spotted a few weaknesses if they know their football like they think they do, I think perhaps a few are regretting saying what they have said already and are trying to deflect the pressure onto us, still stand by my pre-season comments, top 4 finish and a cup will do very nicely to go with that great Jack Hogg trophy already in the bag (know what I mean Mr Trophy....) and basically try and enjoy my football again, been let down by a lot of people out there and it'll take a while for that to be put right.
Nice to see my old mate Mr Turner back in football again, great move for all concerned and a few twists may come out of it.

Heard a few comments along the lines of Fletton not having played anyone yet, and whilst there is an element of truth in that you can't beat 28 goals in 5 competitive matches (which is more than some clubs will score all season) - yes Spec I do include the Jack Hogg, and I hope you get the chance to win it again next year, but in less fraudulent circumstances!
Oh Tommy you always have to have the last word ! Just when we had put our jinx against you lot behind us you go and fold the team

tommy knows somthing spec , he is tring to jinx you as you have only played 4 games hes probably put you down for no score draw this week.
I don't think we have ever had a no score draw Blueboys, in fact if my memory serves me right we have only drawn 4 games in the 3 seasons I have had there, like to keep the fans entertained, all 3 of them !!
Drew 4-4 with Hampton. came from behind all the time against a hard working Hampton side. Apart from 15 minutes in the first half i thought Perkins was by far the better team. This was a game we should have Won and nearly lost. We went 1 nil up then on 40 minutes there centre half hit a wonder goal from outside the box, 3 minutes later 2-1 Hampton. ball over the top and a well taken goal. error followed error for the game to end 4 each.

A Win for Sports 7-1 = Although the score certainly flatters the opposition.
15 or 16 would have been fairer. There are now signs that new Discipline & more diligent team work are being put in place. Long way to go with a lot tougher opposition to come but, 'Watch this space'
without wanting to put added pressure on Al, Tommy and Pat the performance by the players and the management team was awesome! Obviously there are bigger favourites than PSL but the football was a joy to watch today, just like watching Brazil! The togetherness is there, the club is harmonious and behind the scenes Brian is doing a first class job. C'mon Psl! (by the way thats's an unbiased view!)

Chances galore for PSL during normal and extra time but the finishing was woeful hence the scoreline suggesting it was closer than it actually was.Raunds could have nicked it at the very end of 90 minutes with a glaring miss from 3 yards out put over the bar.5 changes from the side that beat Uppingham the previous week and it certainly showed. In the shoot out Garwell missed for PSL and Ricky Dent saved 2 pens.PSL eventually winning 7v6 on spot kicks

gud game sunday? thought after duffy got sent off and jne went 1 nil up that was it, but what a cum bak! draw a fair result in the end.
i see westwood are about to get dwaine rankin and brett bellamy in the side!
SUPER WESTWOOD :dsc:
two great players in great form will help westwoods tittle challenge! cant wait to get back already and get my season goin and good point spec about the crossed fingers
someone obviously watching a differnet game to everyone else commenting a draw a fair result - You must be joking!!
JNE totally dominated from start to finish (not a bias view, just truthful)and apart from some stupid mistakes at the back that keep happening and which we need to eradicate quickly from our game we could/should have won comfortably!! Billy and Duffy (along with rest at the back) westwood best players and that says it all!!
We created enough chances to win but unlike the week before we did not take them!! :soo: Both teams will be there come end of the season but JNE looked far stronger on Sun although if westwood get Brett and Rankin that will make them a lot stronger and they also have Ben to come back around december!!
Come on give a true reflection not a bias one!!
As for Brads, very unlucky and after he played really well on Sat, Get back soon city scum!! Ha ha :mnn:
You're hardly gonna get an unbiased view from either JNE or carefree, so as a neutral observer i'll give you my view of the game.
Jubilee had the majority of possesion but had no cutting edge and squandered a few half chances, can't remember Westwood keeper having to make any outstanding saves.
Westwood were poor until Duffy's sending off, but seemed to be stirred into action afterwards and were in my opinion the better team from there on in.
I notice JNE forgot to mention in his post the one on one Westwood had in the last couple of minutes that just creeped over the bar.
In my opinion a draw was a very fair result and i would also like to mention the top rate performance of the ref!

hey JNE :mnn: day dreamer  wasn't it 2-1 to 10 man westwood? thanx wtfamu a very lucky jne and as i said a draw was fair as chances where even :stpd:
Hey Carefree - get some googles - 2 shots, 2 goals and that was it - and we gave you both!!!
Never looked like scoring so do not see how us dominating possession and having numerous scoring chances being a fair result :soo:
As i said before, billy (keeper) and Duffy your best players so that says it all. Get them westwood blinkers off and realise you will be third this year behind JNE and Netherton.
come on jne it wasnt that one sided and two shots? who has blinkers on billy wasnt very busy other than gettin the ball from behind the goal a couple of times. can remember a couple of efforts fom growler well saved by your keeper not to mention the two late chances i agree u had a lot of possesion but its what you do with it that wins games

Agree with spec, this is great fun, would like to now go back on my previous quote and declare myself no longer a neutral.
After observing JNEs managers dream team in the ET the other night i think they are as arrogant as the rest of you do.
A significant no of JNE players included in the best ever Sunday side! What a laugh! Maybe if they had ever won anything!
Come on every other Sunday morning prem team, surely you dont want JNE to actually WIN something, they are already unbearable as it is!
so wtfamu, you are another person who hates JNE - happy days, I hope you are one of many we can prove wrong this season and shove your comments down your throat!!!
As for the dream team As a player and friend of shakie i truly believe that the Jne players mentioned would get in most sunday "best" teams bar Sam kingston who has not done enough in my eyes (yet). You can not tell me that Bainesy and Jamie graham would not be automatic picks in any managers side as they are probably the best players in the area in there respective positions along with ben lawrence at centre half.
After all, its all about opinions and if one team sways your views then a nob you are and you can shove your so called neutral views up your :mnn:

Well done Perkins & PSL - see that Whitworths won 12-0 in that cup and will be team to beat, along with PNS.
Took in Oundle v Moulton that Moulton finally won 2-0. With half a reserve side out, Oundle acquited themselves very well, and there was nothing between the sides in the first half. The first goal after about 70 minutes was an unfortunate own goal, which Fitzgerald knew nothing about. Moulton got a second a few minutes later from Posey. Great 15 minute cameo from twinkle toed 87 year old Tim Keogh, who we surrounded with medical staff after the game to be on the safe side
Best players were Phil Groves for Moulton when they pushed him on a bit and Patryk Gawrysiak for Oundle who showed great determination at centre half that I had missed somehow last year when playing him as a passing midfielder.
Moulton appear to have decent strength in depth in their squad, and won't be too far away in the final reckoning, whilst if Jan can keep the spirit that Oundle showed yesterday and add a bit of quality, they will be fine.
Lost 2-1 at Uppingham Saturday in the most bizarre game of football I have ever witnessed, please believe me when I say we missed 3 open goals from on the goaline, never seen anything like it and never will again.
Only thing we came away with was a stinking cold for yours truly that is now bordering on the flu and the fact that we missed a great chance to put the pressure on at the top, what a horrible day
was the grass too long? Maybe i should get the lawnmower out? Knew the petrol one would come in handy somewhere.

Quite right spiderman, but Saturday was a freak game and just one of those days I'm sure the lads will bounce back in a positive way.

Stay off the Becks tomight tho he might not be able to get up in the morning if you know what i mean ;-) xxxxx
OK there is no country pub in Ailsworth, there is no pub in Ailsworth, if there were a pub there then the chances are that we would have been there, there isn't so we weren't !
There is a country pub in Castor and we were there, you also have my word that there was no trouble while we were there nor while we were leaving, end of story.
Foggy at your age you should be deeply ashamed of not turning up for a football game and you should be even more ashamed of trying to diffuse that situation by trying to tell tales about others, it just adds fact to my statement a week or so about you that you can't drink, and if you can't drink when you are nearly 40 then you never will be able to :bub:

I can confirm that Wils is not a gossip and anything that you tell him will always remain between the 2 of you.
As it is a year since my unfortunate evening in Stamford, when legend now has me down as being on a life support machine for 6 months, it seems appropriate to confirm Spec that I understand that the police were called out on Saturday and made 4 arrests, one of whom is still inside. Several windows were smashed at the pub in Castor, and a taxi driver put in hospital and his cab set alight. 3 of the players wives have subsequently left them amid rumours of terrible beatings and you have put in a 7 day approach to Oundle for Tim Keogh and are thinking of turning out yourself this week. (naughty Foggy!)
Think that covers it quite nicely and that will certainly teach them to serve you a B&C without ice (I take it they didn't like your Titanic joke)
Like that Tommy !! Is it really a year since Stamford ?? Foggy that's not the ramblings of a bitter man, just putting you right that's all and if you're only 27 then that was some f*****g paper round you had

Morning Al, scraped a point, and by all accounts lucky to get that - still not all bad, one of my young players, Stef Green, scored on his debut for the Ists.
Looking at the other results this is building up nicely - good win for your lads today, think there are a few more twists in the tale before the end of the season.
Lost 3-2 to Moulton, only caught the last half hour which was enough for me, other results made it not as bad as it could have been, gifted goals again which will stop as of now, we will now become scrooge instead of :snt: , spiderman I was wrong about your tipping fair play to you.
Watched 2nd half of Fletton game and agree with Spec about soft goals but thought Moulton were worthy winners. I have seen them three times this season each time against better opposition and they have done just enough to win each time.

we should of never changed a winning side from last week 3-1 to fltton good win spec
I thought you lot battled very well barwars, you had a good second half but couldn't break down our defence which stood up to a lot of pressure, not too keen on your manager bringing in a player for just one game 'cos he wasn't playing for his usual club though, doesn't do much for team morale especially if I am correct in thinking that you were the one sacrificed for him, and what a horrible ***** he is as well, deserved more than a yellow card, shame the ref had no b******s.
