What a fantastic Sunday it was down at Chestnut Ave for Russ Fitzjohns Real side. The weather was good and there was a massive turn out from Whittlesey and all thanks to those who did come to support us! Anyway in abitty first half Real had the best of the play and the chances with Ash Morre some how misiing from 2 yards but as the boys came off a sence of satisfaction was there as the boys knew this game was ours for the taking. The second half continued much to the sme tune with Real having most of the possesion and personally i thought it would just be a matter of time before we would score.Eventually it did come after a superb Brigham delivery was header by me and just as it was about to cross the line Andy Shaw tapped it in(dubious goals panel have awarded me the goal). The game contineued with Real happy to protect what we had worked hard for. The game wound down and the only other incident was a penalty claim for Cherry Tree which was waved away by Lawrence Derante.:clap:The boys celebrated the first peice of silverware in the clubs history by partying long and hard into the night.Real Won the PALAZO CUP which had previously been won by AK11 for 3 years so no its on to the league and our intentions are to take that off them 2! Come on REAL!!!!

Final BIG THANKS TO MANAGER RUSS FITZJOHN who has done a cracking job and im sure will continue to do so!!!!!!!!!!!:kissin::kissin::clap:

See the partying hasn't done anything for your spelling boy !:kissin:

Well played Real boys, always looked in control and able to step it up a notch if required.Good to see all of Russ's hard work rewarded - Rumour has it that Micky even bought a beer after the game to celebrate....

Get some rest in my lads, tough finish to the season coming up, you can party after :nono:

As a club our thanks go out to all of the supporters who came over to watch the match yesterday afternoon ,very good to see another team in Whittlesey being sucessful.

Thanks also to Whittlesey United for the team bus yesterday.

Whittlesey United have shown over the last couple of years how sucessful Whittlesey can be and i'm sure those players who played in the cup finals last year were a lot less nervous beacuse of having already won things last year.

A winning mentality is starting to be created and with a very talanted squad to pick from we may just be back down at Focus in May for our second cup final of the season.

Sweaty came on in the 2nd half - making it difficult for the Cherry Tree lads cos they then had to run around him :clap2:

Guess he's nursing a thick head or he would have been on here before now......

The only reason Jock's not on here is because following the partying late into the night he's at hospital getting his wrist in plaster - plastered now in plaster :ner:

Mr Harley .................. Your season is over due to self inflicted abuse :nono:

Still I suppose going from a bottom of the table side and re-joining your Real side is probably worth a broken wrist
