Good win for both sides. Saw the first half of the Fletton game before the awful weather spoilt the ability to take some photos. Did manage to get the Whittlesey first goal that would have beaten most keepers. In the time I was there Whittlesey looked very well organised and looked the better side. As for Fletton they seemed to hurried and wasted the ball far to often. May have been different had a first half Fletton effort gone in instead off rebounding back into play off of the post. Both sides will be there all season as will Peterborough Sports it would seem. Cracking start for them underlined by the fine win today at Moulton. I think they are at home next week versus Parson Drove so hopefully weather is better to enable a visit. Al please confirm game is on.

Hi Hyppia hope your well mate.Saturdays game v Moulton was very tough for both sides.Moulton had a couple of chances first half and should have finished them.It was a physical game and Sports didnt pass the ball very well at all first half.Apart from a couple of long range efforts and a Dwayne Rankin run beating 4 players Sports didnt really offer much. As the half time whistle beckoned both sides just cancelled each other out.The first 30 mins of the second half was totally different, it was all Sports. They passed the ball a lot better and dominated possession and won most 2nd balls.Moulton were defending under pressure.Luke Thackam should have put Sports 1 up with only the keeper to beat but shot wide. But he more than made up for it with a shot from the corner of the box that flew into the top corner of the net.Sports still pressed but could not score. With the game almost finished Moulton brought on Ian Locke and Moulton suddenly came to life.Consecutive corners,1 hitting the post and a header cleared off the line, the Moulton players appealed for hand ball but the ref waved play on.So to injury time, with Moulton pushing forward for an equalizer Sports broke and Dwayne Rankin finished off a neat passing move.On the whole a deserved victory but hard fought and a really difficult place to get a result.Especially with 3 players dropping out on the morning of the game and that included the goalkeeper.Stu Eason deputised and done a great job.

let me explain why i aint got no time 4 u anymore foxy:

when ur great side drew wiv us it was down 2 a few things

1. we only had half our available players. (not ur fault but we were still a better side then hampton)

2. cr*p gale force winds so any team cld win as it was a lottery.

2. and u conning ur lino 2 cheat 4 u wen dwaine left u for dead after ur desperate tackle missed by a mile, n he was heading 2wards ur goal without a defender within 10 yards of him, u then shouted out 4 offside, which neva woz and u know it!, but billy doughnuts ur lino, who like many other linos now didn't have a clue n went 4 it on ur desperate call with a unreal very very very late flag.

just a quick mention 4 Hump he is a decent manager who can get the best out of what hand he gets dealt and good luck 2 him.

anyway i now hear that there cld be a return by u back 2 crowland? feeling guilty by any chance? :soo:

hahahaha - I had to laugh reading that last post.... Foxy conning the lino to give offside???
What you mean a player actually called for offside to their own lino??? bloody hell whats the world coming to?
Who would stoop so low??? errrrr EVERYONE I reckon

and what were the other points?? gale force wind/weather and players missing??

F*ck me Foxy, can you please stop tormenting these teams, shouting for offsides is bad enough
but controlling the weather and other players is a step too far my friend....

I respect your opinion Al/Carefree/Thunder4 but i'm trying to get my head round all this. So your dislike for me is because of one incident in 90mins where i put my arm up for an offside? That's a little harsh. As BOTN said, what defender would not put their arm up for what they felt was an offside? I think that i'm a genuine, fair player and would never cheat. I honestly thought that Dwaine was off-side - when i looked across he was, whether he was when the ball was played i will never know (just to clarify he didn't leave me for dead because i was playing left back so wasn't marking him). If Dwaine was or wasn't off-side it's not my decision to give the off-side, that is between the lino and the referee. It was a late flag but that doesn't necessarily mean it was the wrong decision.
I have never claimed that we are a great side and i have never slated PSL or said that they haven't got what it takes. I think you have some good players and will be amongst the top 5 come the end of the season.
It was a hurrendous day weather-wise when we played you and so any result would not have reflected favourably on either team.
I think we have a hard working side that can play football and we will surprise a few teams this year but i am enjoying every game with a great bunch of lads.

Not sure where you got info about me going back to Crowland because those words have never passed my lips. Jacko has gone back to Crowland but that's down to his personal cricumstances. I've got no reasons to go back to Crowland because if i did Jacko and Dave Chapman would be the only players i would know.

Best of luck to you for the season Al, no ill feelings towards you or PSL on my part.

Very magnamimous of you Hypia, however it is a lot more fun if you lower yourself to our level and have a good old slanging match.
By the way JNE found your last post a bit tame also!

Great start from the lads from the Fens.

Good solid start from Whittlesey, all credit to Gary and his backroom team for getting a good squad together who are really enjoying their football. A lot of people were righting Whittlesey off in the summer but they are going ok, long long way to go but everyone at Whittlesey United (1st team and reserves) is enjoying their football and the great spirit that we have in the football club.

Lets hope we are in the same position at the end of the season.

have 2 agree with a few comments made, although it pains me and some made by me where over the top a bit, also accept that most defences wld do the same, no hard feeling foxy i hope? not acceptable that foxy let some of my players tyres down 2 stop them playing  anyway still above u (at the mo lol), as i said hump always does a good job where ever, have 2 respect that.

Course not Al, no hard feelings buddy. I'm away this weekend, hope we can complete the double over Stamford Bels. And hope i can get back in the side the week after against Fletton! Parson Drove will be a tough game although i expect you to win by 1 or 2 goals.
