Hi guys. This post is on behalf of our community partners at "Kick It Out".
For those who don't know, BME means "Black Minority Ethnic" and Kick It Out aim to raise participation from Black, Asian, Disabled, Gypsy/Roma/Traveller, women and gay footballers. Basically they champion the involvement of any group that is under-respresented in British football.
I would urge you all to read the below and to email a brief show of support to info@kickitout.org
This will only take 5 mins, but will have a great impact if we all get involved together. Please sign the email with your name, local football club you're associated with and also "Peterborough Sports Talk".
Let's show that Peterborough are at the forefront of 'football for all'.

Dear colleague,
You may have read or heard in the news today the story about the BNP councillor, Richard Barnbrook being invited as a guest by The FA to the launch of yesterday's Word Cup 2018 bid.
Whilst this is disappointing in itself, the situation is made worse because of the fact there was almost no BME representation at the launch (except two people from the House of Parliament) and no female representation.
This situation has understandably angered many community organisations, who are keen to ensure this is expressed to The FA and the bid team.
We are hoping that you can help us with this by dropping us a quick email stating your views.* Ideally this should be sent into info@kickitout.org by the end of today.
We would also appreciate it, if this email could be passed on to your friends and colleagues asking them to do the same in order that we can get a sizeable number of responses.
We will then be able to contact The FA in order to represent the strength of concerns on the issue and push for a real engagement with BME communities.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Kind Regards
Kevin Coleman
