View Full Version : Farcet Revolution
Rumour has it that Farcet have had a change of management and an influx of players.
Anyone got any news on the subject ?
New Management??? Not to my knowledge!!! As far as i am aware i am still the manager or i was this saturday...
My assistant manager ( or should i say ex-assistant manager ) dominic mcmullan, about 5 weeks ago, decided he had other plans for saturdays and i asked one of regular players if he would be interested in become my assistant, to which he agreed ( that was 2 weeks ago ).
It hasn't been the best start to the season like we hoped for, but i am sure we will be there or there abouts at the end of the season.
Yes we have had 2 or 3 faces leave and 2 or 3 faces come into the team and hopefully our season is turning around now!! We should have spanked warboys last week in the hunts cup, it was just a case of good finishing on there part and no finishing on our's.
Bratts
Even at this level people are touting your job bratts, are no managers safe anymore
Spec rumors doing the rounds in the pubs yesterday was that you in fact had jacked in at fleton for something that had gone on after the game Saturday. I wont go into what I herd mate as it was not nice if you know what I mean . is this true :soo:
It is inappropriate for me to comment on that jim at the moment which will probably only add fuel to the fire but I don't bulls*** on this site (contrary to a few beliefs !) and I am still Fletton manager.

Morning Bratts, hope you are enjoying your well earned break!!! (my a**e)
You must be the most unlucky manager there is! Every week (apart from when you play the botom 2!!) you were so unlucky and if you could finish you would have won the game easily! I have all the time in the world for a manager who continous bad luck!
As you say, you will be there (probably more thereabouts) at the end of the season.
Best bit of advice i can give you is to continue to play yourself! That way if it goes wrong you can always give yourself a rollocking!
Enjoy your hols!!!
Morning Jellybelly, thanks for the advice, as i am still young enough ( unlike yourself ) i will continue to put myself in the team especially when there are one or two of my lads that are not performing or believe that they are superstars who will never get dropped no matter how poor they play. As you are SUCH a successfull manager any advice you can give me i will take on board.
If you are about this week and want a beer one night give me a bell :bby:

Up early! Or did the wife kick you out of bed.
You should know, players win you games, managers lose them!
Had 1 good year as manager, but this year will be much tougher. Fletton Res are the team to beat and i look forward to 2 good games against them.
Good decision for you to continue playing, i heard your goalie shout on Saturday ' 3 in the wall or just you Bratts!!!'
Yea he decided with me in the wall there was no need for anyone else!!! As i said at the start of your season, as good as the likes of fletton are i can't see anyone taking the title away from you.
At the moment you have a good team, but i heard next year you will lose as few as they start to collect there pension's
Just thought I would ask. It's not often we have the chance to bandy around a bit of gossip in the lower divisions.
I'm suprised you have lost so many games myself. I also thought Warboys are a very good team. As I have mentioned on a different thread, there are a few decent teams in the division this year that will make it any 2 from 7 for me. Whoever can get the best run together just after Xmas maybe.
Best teams we've played this season, so far :-
Warboys
Stilton (Second half)
Guyhirn
Sawtry
Farcet
Cups have come at a good time for us, injuries and people away have meant that I have had to go on the bench, so that we don't completely rape the ressies.

Bratts
As long as they are going to collect their pension and not joining the revolution at Farcet!
Thanks for your comments, i only wish i was as confident as you!
Do you need any help picking your side for Saturday?!!!
CAFC..your surprised we lost so many games!! so am i mate..we just haven't really got it together this season so far, but i am hoping we can turn the corner and start putting a few wins together, cant say that our game on saturday was our turning point as it was against poor oppositoin ( no dis-respect intended to hereward ) we will see how we fair against sutton bridge in the challenge cup. But if we are to do anything this year and finish in a respectable position we need to start winning against the big teams in our division.
Jellybelly, how you can't be confident about your team winning the title again this season is beyond me, didn't you lose your 1st league game in a year the other week then bounce back to dish out an 8-1 ass whopping this week??yes mate please pick my team as i seem to be struggling :soo:
