how do you think that the team of the month award should be given?
teams in the running should:
win all their games?
get it for fair play?
lose all their games?
win 2 lost 2?
OR WIN 3 DRAW 1 !!!!! :mad:

should be given to a team who performs above themselves or to the very best of their ability. if a top team wins all their games its not necessarily as much of an achievement than if a bottom side strings some impressive performances together.
at the moment PSL hands down with not a single team getting close.
quite simply it has to be a team that has over achieved in a particular month....i think psl should have sealed it by beating hampton so convincingly, but who knows what the judges base it on?? Perhaps a commitee member can enlighten us??
im sure tommy will be on here telling us he has a cupboard full of them!!

The last one I collected for Ortonians last April had another team's name on it and the one before that Tommy left behind the bar at Perkins so Gino could see what one looks like

Concentrate on "Team of the Year" Al (i.e. Champions) rather than worrying about little bits of recognition along the way

i ll take any or every award pos, been a very long time since getting anything, team of the month, year or even day will do nicely.
didn't think this was a fair play award! thought that was a yearly thing? thought winning every game each week of a certain month was all u had 2 do? and 2 be fair only got 3 yellow cards that month too. anyway we could do with a few more match balls as our fecking fench keeps popping them.

It isn't judged at full committee level Al, so don't know - thing is you don't get a match ball, you get a certificate, so unless you need the kudos I wouldn't get too excited by it all.
If you keep hold of Ben & Jamie for the rest of the season you could and should be picking up my very nice looking League trophy - Robbo is having it engraved at the moment (and glued back together hopefully!) - we could save you some time by putting "PSL 2006/07" on it now?
that's a bit naughty Tom, you think Moulton are favourites and they should be!! There players are very experienced, been there and ran it very close....Psl have an inexperienced squad, if they continue to show the same focus they should run Moulton very close

I dont do all that,"they have experience" nonsense.Its about having hunger, desire and the will to win more than your opposition. Sports have a good team spirit and the players are working really hard.But this league is not won in December.There is still a lot of hard work left to do.We played Hampton on Saturday and they started really well and should have been 2v0 up in the first 15 mins.A one on one with the keeper and a superb stop from our keeper kept the scoresheet blank.But it was one of those days in front of goal for us after that.4 shots,4 goals.Some bad defending on their behalf.Humpy must have been aggrieved as his side started sharply and missed those two chances.So the game was effectivley over by half time.Second half we had a lot more ball and dominated possession as Hampton had resigned themselves to defeat.2 more goals added and the scoreline looked a rout.It could have all been so different had Hampton scored early on.We worked really hard and all credit to the lads for that.I was impressed with Hamptons passing and movement early on.They will be in the shakeup at the end of the season.No fluke, Hampton are there on merit and will be difficult to beat.

no 1 is leavingall committed 4 the season now. but still think we need 1 more player, every game as it comes will do. wimb ob's nx week hope 4 a win there, then we r top 4 xmas.

My vote would defo go to Tommy, Al and the boys at PSL. Been very good over the past few months and are the team to beat these days!!!! :nwy:
Just hope for your sake though that Spiderman aint one of the judges as it would look something like this;
Dec= Hampton
Jan=Hampton
Feb=Hampton
...etc...etc.....

my allegience with Hampton is only a loose one based on living near their ground and knowing Humpy from my playing days. I played for Brotherhoods once upon a time, so under their new name would love to see PSL win the league and the cup as I am going off Perkins again. Besides who cares who is team of the month if this is only a couple of peoples view
so if you are not bothered about a couple of peoples views why do you decide that you dislike an entire team just because a few poeple push your buttons? you've been caught in your own web there Spidey!
