The draw has been made for this and the Peterborough League has a bye in the premliminary round and will play the Hertfordshire County League away in the last 32.

I played against a number of sides in that league (Buntingford, Codicote, Knebworth) when I was starting out in mens football at 15/16 and whilst that was along time ago I don't believe it is a level that should unduly worry us.

The game is likely to be a Saturday in September, and we will have a warm up game ahead of it.

We should remember that the Cambridgeshire League has made the last 2 finals of this cup, and we drew with them, so have as good a chance as anyone of success.

Only of course if we get a side out, and I need everyones help to ensure that we do. Whilst we have lost a number of players this season that would have featured if the game had been last year (Beeny, Patten, Francis, Quy, Baines, Goodayle, Treacher, Thompson) we are still more than capable of putting out a useful unit - this is a list of forwards who are in my thoughts for example: -

Dwayne Rankin, Jamie Graham, Karl Gibbs, Glen Gilbert, Andy Sayers, Ashley Favell, Ian Bradbury

Anyone have any thoughts on these or other positions and players I should be going to have a look at?

I would concentrate on getting your fat off first porky, what finely tuned footballer is going to listen to a team talk from a big fat momma like you *mock* Hit the salad bar Boss Hogg
And by your own admission you started out in men's football weighing 15/16 stone then

Thank you for your insightful and considered response Spec, though as my few extra pounds did not seem to hinder my managerial credibility and expertise over the last 3 seasons, I will not treat it as valuable advice.

So that's it then - 1 lad at Long Sutton is all you could muster between the lot of you?

I am underwhelmed by your support - looks like its just down to the 3 of us then Robbo & Wils - if it is on, think we should take in Leverington v Hampton this Saturday - I will drive as usual Wils.

it wouldn't realy matter who you pick or play in these games. When you play in bigger games it always seems to bring the best out of you as a player as you are playing with and against better players so you want to impress.
