Heard on the grapevine that Paul from Oundle Reserves has been made to resign? Seems a little strange to me, as if I'm correct, they finished fairly high in the league each season and won the Northants Cup whilst he was there?

Dugout, can you confirm that this is just a rumour, or can anyone associated with the Club dispel this myth?

Has also heard this lil rumour aswell Raph. With Nigel Wade the old res team manager to take over again.

If true then Oundle are so stupid and how ignorant and disrespectful to get rid of a manager that has brought not just the res team but the whole club back up again. Lets remember when teh 1st team was in dire straights and the res team were flying high it was Pauls squad that stepped in under shaggys guidence and brought the 1st team out of Prem wilderness. He also brought in a fantastic squad of players that lets also remember would have probabaly gone on to win the Res prem had the 1st team not become so dis organised and under strength.
I have played under Paul and he is a fantastic motivator and a really nice person with it. He understands the modern games and if im honest was for me the next obvious choice as Oundle 1st team manager.

I feel if this has also been the case then how unfairly treated Paul has been treated, being a player and a manager at the club for not long of 10 years(i think).
Oundles own miss doings willl now ultimately become their own downfall.........

I can't help on this one. Paul was asking me last week about whether I was signing for next season so it must have happened pretty recently, if indeed it has. It would not surprise me if its a case of 'chinese whispers' as per usual, if not then I am sure Paul will end up somewhere this season with how many people he knows around here.

Blimey lads, none of you know whats gone on at all but opinions flying in left, right and centre!
Oundle Res folded mid season last season with little notice given to the players at the time, a club with over 100yrs history (think i'm right there).
Obviously IF and it's a ig IF, Paul is not at Oundle then I'm sure there's more to it than whatever people are guessing and it's prob best left with Paul and Oundle unless either want to air it in public..

Clubs make decisions, managers make decisions, leagues make decisions. The purpose of this forum is to discuss the effects of those decisions, surely? Free speech and all that!
