after them failing to get their forms in on time ect... were the club members right in allowing them back into the league?
i voted for them to be reinstated but found out after that they are a real bad lot!!!
all at the AGM could see that the committe didnt want them in the league, but didnt make it clear why, so the vote went for griffin park
knowing what i know now i would have defo voted against them.
mark why didnt the committe make things clearer why they wanted them out?
What do you know about Griffin Park?
You are joking? Langtoft 1st were relegated due to the "restructure" of the leagues and if they had been booted out we may have stayed up, we have a squad very capable of doing well in that league this season but obviously it will take us one extra now!
Griffin are a joke and should never have been allowed back in but unfortunately they have been due to a mix up
Little story - They can to Bretton on a sat last year shouting there mouths off and thinking they were it!! But, obviously not knowing the westwood/Bretton reputation they ran into our centre half who after one of there players gave it the big un to him he knocked him spark out - giving him the old one, two :batr: Magic!!
They soon got in there cars and scurried home with there tails between there legs AND Mr D'errante was even there and commented on the Jubs near perfect behaviour compared to theirs!! Brillant!!
Shame not going back there this year but they might meet some sterner resistance from most when teams do. :soo:
Easy boys.
It was GP Res who had not applied for re election into Comb 3. The letter had arrived after the required date. GP rep stating at the meeting that they had not been informed and there was also something to do with the deduction of 3 pts that put them in the bottom 2.
Anyway, it wasn't anything to do with the first teams status.
I aint chirping in cus I like em either. I have had my fair share of run ins with the manager and supporters but not so much the players, although they do have a couple of looney tunes. If you listen to a lot of people, then the Jube would be pretty high in the most disliked clubs stakes, personally I thought they were top geezers when they came to the manor last season.
To be fair to their reserves they are reasonably behaved in comparison. 1 or 2 that are looking for arguements but nothing major. I played against their reserves last game of the season when they could only muster 8 players, and they completed the game. I've played against the first several times, and it isn't a game I enjoy playing.
Years ago, the PDFL wouldn't take Wisbech Park Rangers from the Isle League, and some of the players are connected with that. That won't help their repuation.
Oh well at least neither langtoft team have to play them next season
Langtoft,
you were'nt relegated due to the restructure, you were relegated due to you finishing in the bottom two.
And before you say, "Ryhall finished bottom". Strictly they didnt, they were expunged from the league. Its a techincal error that they were still appearing on the bottom of the league table, all be it with no figures against their name.
For the record, thats being fixed for next season.
I'm not gonna disagree I run the reserves so the season was full of joy for me and the lads that played for me, however after playing pretty much all of their games where alot of points were won would you not think its a tad unfair for a side to relegated due to the fact that the team couldn't fulfill their fixtures?
The new 1st team set up will see them go back as champions its just a shame it will take 2 seasons to be in the prem instead of one.
You may think I'm off my nut but I said the same about the reserves last season.

Reckon we'll be more than a match for anyone in Division One this season. Keeping the nucleus of the last season's squad plus a couple of players dropping down from a higher level to play.
Should be an interesting league though. Guyhirn and Coates will only strengthen the division while Jubilee will again be a force - the only bad thing about losing Ryhall and Langtoft is that they're our shorter journeys.
Also fancy Deeping Sports to have a good crack in the Prem, just like Woodlands did.
The only problem we had with Griffin Park last season was failing to beat them at our place after battering them all game. Those two dropped points cost us the league, but the lads can't wait to get started again.
Good luck to all for the coming season.

Jubilee will definitely be a force to contend with this season but with teams like Rutland (very strong at home and away when doing well in the league) Netherton (poor season last year by their high standards) and a superb young Coates side who gave the Jube a hell of a game last season I think it will be a good league this year. Now Griffin Park, if I'm right were already kicked out of the league when they were Bowling Green. Surely the commitee should have taken that into account. Although they do seem to think everyone owes them something (well they did when they came to Bretton last year.......eventually !!!).
