View Full Version : Real March
Last season's Hereward Athletic, they are now paying a manager £20 per match. They're also apparently charging players £40 per season to play. Will be interesting to see if they manage to pull in decent players, or will it all end in tears...

If you sign you get a tracksuit.
If you play you have to wear the tracksuit.
Oh and i think you get a tracksuit.
all for 40pound bargin!!!
oh please can i have a trial with hereward athletic
anyone would think they were one of the regions top teams not one of the worst!
the best way to turn a team around-charge everyone £40(as if footballs not expensive enough for a lot of players!)

hang on there ...£40 but nothing more to pay for the season. Not sure how much your boys all have to pay in match fees but that's a hefty saving for our lads. Although we do give them a tracksuit...
Admire the ambition...UCL in 4 years...that doesn't leave much leeway - year 1 win Div 2, year 2 win Div 1, Year 3 win Prem - should be fairly easy really....sweepstake anybody?? Where will Real March be in 4 years?
I bagsy bottom of div 2 peterborough league...

Must say that if you only have to pay a one of fee off £40 and no match fees then that is a bargin. That is only 8 games if u take into account most players will be paying £5 per game this year.
Lets also not forget they get a tracksuit to say all in all everyone chirping about them making players pay a one of £40 payment and nothing else for remainder of the season you really dont have a clue whatyou talking about!! :blh:
Dont think UCL will be achieved in 4 years time think 8 years would be more realistic target.
£40 is a bargain, that's 8 games for me, and I don't get a tracksuit nor a trophy at the end of the season!!! Problem is that you need to get people to commit at the beginning of the season and stump up the cash. Unless it is taken seriously by quality players, it could be doomed to fail. Quality players will only sign, if they see that other quality players are prepared to play. I think they will make the season interesting and it will go either really well, or really, really badly. We played them Saturday, but I wasn't able to play due to work. Haven't managed to find out the scoreline yet as been too busy.
on the other hand.............yet another club to fold during the season? i get the feeling that they'll get bitten in the arse come the last third of the season when all the original monies dry up from the beginning of the season.
if they have a generous sponsor they may well think "**** that" when their resources are called upon to pay for a struggling team in the last 3rd of the season.

i see that judging by the pdfl website that real march are down to play castor 2nd game of season. that shall be interesting :scr:
i wonder if they are all kitted out wiv there tracksuits ?????
Just to confirm, it was Real March that we played with Castor and won 10-2, at the ground in Christchurch. They started off really well though and if they hadn't have lost concentration and dropped their heads, they would've done well.
Up front they are good and midfield wasn't bad - but they need improvement at the back. Mind you, their Eastern European goalkeeper made four or five cracking saves too!

We hear the stories of how to run clubs and falling flat on our faces and that we will come unstuck. Castor was a defeat but no way a means to go on by, loads of reasons, first game, seeing different players, new signings since , please come and watch the team that drew 2-2 with parsons drove 4 games after the castor match with their strength team on 25th Aug against castor and judge then on a league match not a friendly. CHRISTCHURCH, UPWELL ROAD
Will look forward to it - - -> like I said, could've gone a different way had your defence been sorted and your heads not dropped. Forward line and midfield were strong. See you at Christchurch.
why is it that when ever anybody wants to better themselves there are always people trying to knock you back.
Real March are just trying to run their club a little bit more profesional to try to attract a better type of player and try to advance up the league.......anything wrong in that??
I am aware that the £40 membership fee is for all season including Match day fees, training, food in the bar after a game etc and a tracksuit to wear on match days (dont March Town & Wisbech do this?). If you pay £5 per game multiplied by approximately 30 games that comes to £150 need I say more?
The foundation and certain things have been put in place at the club and if this means paying a manager that has previously managed at a much higher level, so what? :soo:
Please give RMFC a chance and stop trying to be clever by belittling them when they havent done anything wrong.
I though Football was a sport to enjoy and have friendly banters........but i suppose you will always get the odd moron who's never played higher than division 47 crap league?
Yes, they may fail with what they are trying to do, but at least they are doing something, not just turning up on a saturday, be given a shirt, not told what to do and suck an orange at half time.....what progression is that?
heres hoping they have an excellent season and prove all the doubters wrong
 well articulated Nomad.
that sounded like one of my drunken rants.
that sounded like one of my drunken rants.
Drunken rant!!!...........
I thought I was just giving a sensible "articulate" obsevation to a situation that may get out of hand.........now we dont want that do we??
Lets all throw away our handbags and get on with what we all supposidly love best............FOOTBALL!!
yeah season starts this week end good luck to everyone gutted im gonna miss it but work comes first i have a high maintenance girl :soo:
I think that real march have a good team. We played against them in a friendly. We drew with them 2-2. they could of beat us to be fair but they made to many subs. They have a great striker who wears bright yellowboots. He could play for abetter team. They have a good right winger too.
I think they will do quite well. Better than last season anyway,
Harbs - all women are high maintenance mate! :nono:
I think you'd be disappointed if Real March generated no interest on forums like this. I think what you are trying to achieve is very ambitious to say the very least, but I wish you all the best in it. You'll certainly have fun and the results will be there for all to see soon. Division 2 is an exceptionally tough league to get out of (compared to the bottom league in Cambs for example). So if you win promotion this year round, you're certainally on for a good run.
