Just wanted to say on behalf of everyone associated with PST, that I'd like to offer our deepest condolences to Leigh Northcott's family, widow and daughter.

I only played a few games with Leigh last season at Huntingdon, but I used to pick him up from work and take him to the matches and he was a really nice fella; always happy to help and did me some good deals on some car parts too!

From what I could tell he was a devoted father and had played local football for some time. He amassed a significant haul of goals in the Sunday PM league last season and will be missed both as a footballer and a person.

If anyone else has any thoughts/memories that they'd like to share, please post them below.

Further to my earlier post, a testimonial match has been hastily organised by Simon Benton for this Saturday, between the two teams that Leigh finished the season with last year: Riverside Rovers and Bretton North End.

It is a noon kick-off at The Riverside Pavilion on Candy Street, who have donated the pitch at no cost. Vinny Price will also officiate the match for free. Please support this event if you are able to.

A raffle will also take place and all proceeds from the day will go to Leigh's widow Stacey, to help her to pay for the funeral costs.

If anyone can donate anything to the raffle to help raise some more money, then please contact Simon Benton on 07718 912271.
