I see Tommy put a lil bit in the ET about Bainsey leaving PNS to go to Stilton on a Sat to play with his mates one wonders if this now means that the father/son relationship has now come to an end!!? Tell us all what you think? :soo:

i think you should get me a job
You have to ask yourself why now ? Personally I think its a waste of talent and that aint having a go at Stilton, we get on just fine.
It's on many posts in this forum on what motivates someone to play football. I was never good enough to play at a decent level and personally struggle to understand why someone would turn down such an opportunity, assuming that he would get a game. And of course he can sign/play for Stilton and PNS
P.S. This should probably be in General Football.

there is alot of traveling at pns though, my personal oppinion is to try play as high as you can but if you dont enjoy it or your spending half the time traveling then whats the point?
Well I thought he would give it a go. Anyway like I said he can sign for both clubs. What is likely to be the starting 11, anyone know ? And will the rest play for the ressies, PDFL clubs or not play at all. Could be a lot of wasted talent knocking around.

it depends on the attitude, i cant see alot of that 1st team playing for the reserves away to kempston or somewere as far when they cansign for peterborough team aswell and play at bretton park or werrington! can you?

it looked at 1 point that bainsey might have a shot at becoming a pro and making a living from it, i think he now knows that this isn't going to happen and he clearly shows that he don't give a hoot about money, so thats makes him a rare breed. he has decided to enjoy his footy with his mates. good luck to you bainsey

i know bainsey & i think that he gets that much hassle from everyone wanting his signature he's fed up with it.
we used to play together at alconbury and we dident have the best team but we had spirit & friendship. there was no bigheads & that worked for us we even beat perkins 2 weeks in a row when the had a great team. & i bet if you ask him he will say he loved that season as we all did, and his only regret was to leave for eye at the end of the season missing the cup final. its not always about money or glory i apploud him for going back to play with his mates :nwy:
As a close friend of bainsey I know that he has gone to play footy with his mates and enjoy himself. something you can only respect him for
I for one feel he is silly (and he knows this) but also I understand why as I did the same with the Jube and it was great fun!!
Al, you are right on one account and that he does not care about the money - something which is very rare indeed - Hey Luke and Brett! :soo:
Good luck to him - Bainesy - where my call to the talbot on Sat??
Foggy. We struggle to get you out in Peterborough nowdays let alone in the stix at Stilton ! I think enjoyment is paramount in football but I also think a certain level of ambition should be used. To say 45 mins in a car is too much travelling seems a little weak for me.

it aint the fault of luke or brett, only one person to blame and it aint roger daniels or gedney hill.
both luke and brett were offered a signing on fee and ucl prem wage to go gedney hill last season, both were unemployed at the time so the fee doubled their dole money.
but when the **** hit the fan (thankfully) i got both players back to PSL, which added to why we won the county cup and prem league titles, but it did cost us the pfa cup semi as both were not allowed to play even though they both played in all the earlier rounds for PSL.
luke then left us for yaxley but only for the £25 that was being offered, which again is fair enough as the boy is still unemployed. but in steps this person again and offers luke to Roger, and Roger says 'yes please'. but little did Roger know that luke was to get a signing on fee and double what yaxley had offered.
you can't blame Luke given his situation now can you?
this also caused me to fall out with Roger but he now understands why.
luke now has a job thanks to Roger as a labourer, now for me this is the right way to get a player if you are able to offer them help when they need it and to offer him a way to make you money as well as himself plus you get him to play for you too. well then you've cracked it.
brett works for me landscaping as have many other Psl players at some point.
but for me paying them will always backfire on you at level 7, helping them out and gaining their respect is always the way too win things!
SORRY ABOUT THE NOVEL
