View Full Version : Terms of Service - Changes
Here we go, apologies if this post drags on but its necessary to post this.
Due to recent goings on, on the forum, it is now a requirement for users to supply us with their real full names upon registration. This field is a required field, so if it is not populated, the registration will not be processed. In an effort to combat abuse of this, new registrations require admin approval, should things not check out, then the registration will not be processed.
For existing users, this is also a requirement, so please go into your user control panel and update these details. Should you not agree to this change in our terms, then please contact an administrator, via PM and we will arrange for your account to be deleted from the PST-UK database.
We will be checking that all users have updated their personal details, if they have not been updated, then you may find that you have your posting privileges revoked, until either agree or disagree to our new terms.
Your full name will also appear with all of your posts, it will appear underneath your avatar.
I hope this clears things up for everyone, if you have any feedback for us on this, then please let us know

Dislike anti privacy forced on me online, it's a bloody forum for a laugh, banter and footy chat, making it compulsory takes a lot of fun out of it and also sets you up for fines etc from the money collectors at local level...
good luck with the venture guys.
Sean, you're being naïve if you really think that the "money makers" don't know who you are anyway! Shame to see you go after such a time, but this is the natural progression for a site that has started to become a real connection with the leagues and local teams. A cursory glance at UCL chatter and you'll see that we have something so much better. This change will only help it stay that way.

Think its well needed Raph and Ross. Have been checking the site a lot more recently due to the excitment going on this season. Would be good to get a few more users from different teams in the league though! Interesting times ahead
Will you be asking for photo id next? Be nice to put a face to all the names!! #justsaying

Corbz - Some of us arent all as pretty as you. Wouldnt want my picture on there. You only have to ask at a specific game who someone is on PST
Thats a weird one from someone who has a photo as their profile picture ? :)
Once names are addad it will all be forgotten about in no time and business as usual.

BOTN you surprise me.You have been a main contributor to this site and its success.
Corbz is mr vain, he only put that to check to see if he is the fairest of them all, I do to some degree side with Sean on this one, although as long as everyone is careful how they word their comments it should not be a problem. IF the pdfl decide to punish people for having opinions which they do not like or agree with fine that's up to them but it should not stop us airing our views.

I doubt anyone wants to read gratuitous offensive language on here or any where else but
at some risk can I ask who, when, how often, or even if, has anyone on here been "punished" by the League for speaking their mind?
If an argument is a sound one based on Gino's formala, then the last thing it needs is personal abusive comments.
This is a great forum for expressing different viewpoints because it reaches the very people who are interested, passionate and need to know. What more do we need?
Measured tone and words can only help.
Thanks for the responses so far, much appreciated.
Look forward to seeing loads of people at the meetings.
This wasn't a decision that was taken lightly, but one that we feel was the right thing to do
Yes, Ross and I had a conference call, with our respective legal advisors and PAs present. We thrashed out the pros and cons, then came to a decision.

Could you have a section which remains an open forum (such as you have Sundays & Saturdays split for example) where anyone can set up a subject and comment as per old rules, but all others have the new criteria for posting?
Personally think your decision is a huge step forward guys and well done on your foresight, but my idea may give those that wish to remain anonymous for thier own reasons a voice?
Norman is right (AGAIN!) in so much as I can't recall the League coming down on anyone for comments on here, and I am not sure why anyone would want to post anything they would not be prepared to say to someones face anyway or stand by as Mr.Flynn says
I would certainly hope nobody would abuse anyone on here but there may be the odd poorly thought out post by an angry player/ manager once in a while about a referee, club official or the fa over a disagreement/ decision.
I for one would hope that it would not become an issue but as I said it does sometimes happen. There is nothing personally as anyone who knows me will tell you that I would not say to a persons face and I hope most people on here are the same but it does not mean that just because you have said something on here that the fa, pdfl ect may act upon a badly thought out statement or opinion. That's all I mean and the fact that it has not happened yet does not mean it will not in the future.
