Hi Everyone,
Can anyone confirm how many teams are going to be promoted into Div 1 from Div 2 this season, I heard a rumour that it maybe more then 2. Is this likely?

It all depends on a whole host of things...... we heard rumours last year that 3 would be going up etc.
Best bet is to wait and see as i honestly don't think anyone will give you a definate answer!
Fair enough, but the chances of 4 teams going up are slim right?

Will be top two. There is no way that we can allow Perkins Sports to fold.
thought it was a little unrealistic.
Oh well next season unless we have a miracle.
Are there any teams from div 1 folding? bretton park? gedney? or is that also way off the mark?

:soo:Think truth be known nobody knows exactly how the league will compensate IF any team pulls out, so for that reason to be 100% sure best thing is do is to finish in the top 2!!!
The league certainly wont rlease any info on there plans to well after the season finishes.
a little birdie tells me that div 2 may have a new team in it next season. they have a lot of players already confirmed who would make up a team that'd possibly come with a favorites tag for the prem let alone div 2!

Thank would make sense as div 2 as it stands now, will be one team short as Chatteris Fen Tigers have handed in their resignation to the league.

Every year there is always teams pulling out but I'm sure there will be ample teams trying to take there place be surprised ifb theres less teams in any of the leagues.
Don't forget that Peterborough City pulled out this season too . . . Another Raph goal struck off (sniffle)

So if these players going to this team you no off Jb would make the team fav to win the prem or giving that tag then i would ask the question why are these players going to div 2. Surly if good enough to win the prem then some of them would be able to go higher as shown with previous players. Pot hunters again. Sorry but no credability or respect is gained buy these players who play a lower standard just to win things. :nono:

we all know as young lads u only have a short shelf life in this game, before u go stale an old, an if these mugs wana play in div 2 when it sounds as if they could be world-stoppers then thats up 2 them.

not at all they all have an affinity to the club and have a lot of passion and commitment for them. now i aint saying any more as i might give the game away and i've been asked not to(so i may get shot already:lol:). all i will say when and IF they do enter div 2 you'll understand why.

I have worked on the basis that the top 5 teams draw their games against each other which is unlikely so you can give or take a few points for each team.
It is totally based on current form and positioning.
Basically the best Langtoft 1st can hope for should we win the rest of our games.
With the couple of t0ssers that Warboys have on here I really hope Stilton get it and see how long they chat sh!t for on here.
A few years ago we had a very good young side at Stilton, unfortunately we lost our pitch and subsequently got relegated out of the prem as we now had to play at Stanground, we also lost a whole host of talented players to our rivals around the city. However, some stayed and more and more trickled back as we fought through the leagues.
My shout is that Perkins are in the same boat as us, not having a ground to meet prem standards if they lose theirs, but are keeping a lot of players to try and fight their way back to the top. :soo:
I have not researched this bold statement one bit so feel free to shoot me down.
Bit of a shot in the dark but it entertained me for a minute.

Friend who works at Perkins Said that the facilties don get nough se through the wek sPerkin have sold the Land for round 10Million.
Woud of thought they would give a small chunk to set up somethig smaller that woud warrant a smaller annual running cost.:soo::soo:
But looks like there have there lare sum of money and forget the community. Shame ?
That is typical - not even putting that extra effort in to explore the possibilities of building up the use of the land or the clubhouse? Yank owners . . . I'm sure the Scouse fans can sympathise! Shocking, Perkins Sports are part of local football history.

I work next door at Ideal World, the land has been sold and houses are going to be built.
hate to rain on this parade guys but it is 2 people i believe or one clver person.
i am shocked by the news but until i hear from a more concrete source i will wait to pass judgement on the Perkins situation.
5 years i was there for and last i knew plans were completely the opposite and it was a club headed in one direction and that was forwards not backwards.

We are not moving infact we are expanding on the plot the other side of us.
I think it is pretty official although obviously I have not seen any plans. They are knocking down the club house etc and building homes to extend on what is the other side, including the car park etc.
