Pompey Sports and Education Foundation are looking to appoint a full time coach. The candidate will be required to work evenings and some weekends and will need to be flexible with availability throughout the year to fulfil the role.

JOB TITLE: Community coach
ORGANISATION: Portsmouth Sports & Education Foundation (PSEF)
REPORTING TO: Craig Pearce, Head of Sports and Coaching
JOB PURPOSE
- To deliver coaching sessions and community based projects
- Delivering coaching sessions in school settings – these may include breakfast clubs, lesson time delivery, lunchtime clubs, after school clubs as well as skills and development centres in the evenings.
- Working with less experienced coaches and apprentices to and support their professional development
· Distributing leaflets, fliers etc
- Responsibility for registers and payments where applicable
- Adhering to PSEF’s Child Protection, Health & Safety, and Equal Opportunities and all other policies at all times.
- Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with other relevant agencies and individuals.
- To actively seek funding and/or opportunities to sustain and develop the growth of PSEF programmes.
- Monitoring budgets for projects running in your area
- Continual liaising with other managers within PSEF to ensure consistency throughout the organisation
- Assisting where necessary with organising annual tour for development groups either abroad or within the UK
- Any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Trustees
- To hold a minimum of FA Level 2 qualification
- To possess excellent communication skills, including verbal and written skills
- Committed to achieving results
- To have inspiring interpersonal skills and effectiveness
- To have proven creativity and able to generate ideas.
- Self starter and motivated team worker, with the ability to ensure deadlines and all demands are met.
- To be flexible in working hours to meet the needs of the role, this will include weekend and evening working.
- To represent PFC in a loyal, professional and knowledgeable manner at all times.
- You will be expected to keep a positive and optimistic attitude at work, so that we can maintain our high standards and ability to deal with problems quickly, this will be for our internal (colleagues) and external (guests) customers.

Essential
- FA Level 2 Coaching Certificate in Coaching Football
- Registered member of the Football Associations Coaches Association (FACA)
- Valid CRB certificate (at Enhanced Level)
- Valid Safeguarding Certificate
- Valid Emergency First Aid Certificate
- Additional multi-sport and coaching qualifications
Essential
- Highly motivated with a passion for sport and working with community groups.
- Empathic and approachable, particularly when dealing with young people
- Excellent communication skills.
- A proven ability to network and build positive partnerships within the community.
- Team player.
