FC Bauer V Eye Sports.........The Big One

The big count down starts here....... Not to the start of the season, but to the game against FC Bauer this saturday!
With old Emap getting a win against a newly formed eye side last year, they have been re-named and bought in a few "players", with the losers of this big tie previously, having gone on to be pipped at the Div.2 title and to be forming a team thats worthy of the premier league.....
With victories pre season against the likes of Eyensbury,SSPIO, Pinbeck and Oundle, it has been a good start, with all these big games being set up, its obvious that the result doesnt matter as it was all preperation for the big match against the Bauer.
The boys have been training tuesday every week, playing a few mid week Wednesday game and every Saturday it has got to the point now where all this hard work could be for nothing if we dont get at least a draw. We cant let all them thursday and Monday night run roads go to nothing can we boys........
FC Bauer(emap) have got everything to lose as they boast a victory against one of many Div.1 faviourates it all boils down to 2 o clock on saturday. I personally have been working hard and workign hard to get my place in this team for Saturday and feel that a big performance here could really set me up for a big season, much like many of the other players.
Nipper, Chris Kaye, Lee Harbour, Luke Weston.... these are the kind of players that this game, if lost, could break them.....
Lets hope to go out there lads and give a good account of ourselves no matter what the score and remember its only a game
P.S loser buys the first round BOTN and try and keep it to single figures mate
Predictions anyone?

hahaha very good Sneeks... bit 'War and Peace' but very good mate..
Our biggest game will be next Sunday against Racing 252 to be fair as we can field a full strenght team at last, playing Saturdays means we lose UCL players and Sat Prem lads which is a blow, take last Saturday against Oundle, we lost 2 key players who played for SSPIO, 2 played Oundle 1st team, 1 played March Town hard to replace that and still perform...
It seems it's a bigger game for you than us mate? we're there to get our lads fitter and trial any new lads, saying that we will of course be wanting to make it 2-nil if possible but from your results to date and signings I'd put us as slight under-dogs..
As for beers to the winner, I'm still waiting on mine from last pre-season???
It'll be a good game whatever happens and Gino etc all know we'll all share a beer after the game... keep up with the War n Peace Sneeks, we may draw a crowd hahaha..

I'm just looking forward to the Strongbow and curly fries after the game.

1) Nipper
2) Luke weston
3) Gary walker

Called up to the national squad
I know you big man,you will still have a very strong squad. Sneeks you had a chance to open your account last Sat but put it over, hope you finish like that this Sat. Luke Weston was your most dangerous forward last Sat so big miss but Luke Elsom to come back in ? not a bad swap. F.C. Bauer definite underdogs. Will enjoy after match beer.

Missing for us so far:
Tom Wales
Grant Watson
Matt Davis
Possibly Mick D (capt injured)
and 2 or 3 others injured but to be fair they're still fringe lads..

what about some make shift forward/ footballer called Sean "the windmill" Hammill? What UCL players do u have in ur ranks BOTN? and who does Matty Davis play for on saturdays, oundle?
Any predictions on what the score is? and also where is it, Bushfield or eye?
Should have a good turn up at the windmill afterwards as there will be food there if im not mistaken??
-
It's at Eye mate, you should know that already unless big G is sending you to Bushfields haha?
Matt Davis plays up front for Oundle 1sts, he played 252 last season, a decent lad and quality forward..
Grant Watson plays for March Town (ucl) and is on board with us this season, another decent lad and looks a decent player...
The 'windmill' Hamill very rarely plays for Bauer nowadays mate, better players on board by a mile, I may make 15 mins for a laugh but thats it.. Saying that we have Tom Wales and Matty Davis out so up front is very light, so you never know, I think I feel another overhead kick coming on haha.
Nothing arranged as yet back at the Windmill as we were playing Bushfields originally, ask your boys if they'll head back to the Windmill after and if so I'll speak with Luke to arrange it? but I'd have thought you'd want beers in your club house/room to bolster the coffers? up to you boys, let me know Sneeks?

Im guessing that the best thing to do is to stay at the club house for a few and then maybe head for the windmill say 5 6ish? thats basically our saturday right there....
Dont worry about Harbs for food by the way, there fish in the tank still so just give him a couple quid and thats him sorted.
U feel confident then BOTN? is raph not playing for you this weekend? ask him abotu his free kick on saturday, weve got pictures on the lampost with pictures of that ball you know.......
-
As I said mate, for this one I make us slight underdogs, if we both had full strength teams I'd make it fairly even perhaps... I still dont know who else is/isn't available yet either as we're training tonight so will know more then, a lot of our other lads may have to work so you may even have to suffer me for 90 mins yet hahaha..
I wont get into predicting as I'll leave that to you lot (players), Rapha is playing Saturday but it's doubtful he'll get near any set peices for us, Benny usually smashes them in for us!

hahaha only person smashed in our encounters has been Harbs mate, him and Raph clashed leaving Harbs needing an ambulance (total 50/50 ball), If I played 90 mins nowadays I'd be the one needing the ambulance though as my fitness is fading at rapid speed...
I dont think you'll be worried about losing by many Sneeks, I'd guess odds to be (not laying em by the way Gino haha) 1/2 Eye and 5/2 Bauer

Powerleague is 5 a side, so a free kick would only need power, not swerve or direction. The RWT leagues are full sized goals and I've hit four this season (which started two months ago). As I was right back on Saturday, I didn't have too much opportunity to practice my shooting, especially with your left wing Leon who was lightning quick! Our team did themselves no justice and it was a good lesson for them. We missed Daryl Todd behind the front two big style and Sherman has plenty of goals from last season to bring with him too; both of whom were in Ibiza.
Sneeks - beware of false senses of security - with public confidence like this, you may be embarassed by only beating us by five or six clear goals

With 1st goalscorers as follows;
Luke Elsom 5/1
Nico Agius 5/1
Spencer Clarke 7/1
Robert Ebbage 7/1
Chippy 9/1
Coxy 12/1
BOTN 150/1
Harbs 166/1
Rapheal 483/1
Im not sure about any of your players playing Sean? But on them odds ill go with ebbo first scorer, Eye to win 4-0... anyone want to take that?......

Dont get defnesive mate, i didnt touch anything on your (lack of)performance..... i thought you done o.k, well done on chopping harbour from behind.......not the first time
u could clearly do a job at right back in that league mate
-
I'll have a £5 on myself with you at 150's Sneeks?
I dont know who's up front for us yet so hard to call... If Ben is playing he'd go 7/1 on your betting and if I have to partner him (if we're short) then seriously I'd be more like 16/1... lay us odds on our centre back Sid and I'd be tempted for a flutter too haha..
Whatever happens anyway we're all looking forward to it, beers after and lets keep it clean yeah, none of us want injuries at this stage... yeah yeah I know I'm a fine one to talk...
-
LJR
i thought we wer having two extra training sessions for this match sneeks?
-
Ball Boy For National 11
Yeah thats what the road runs have been in focus for. We need to call back the first team players now after playing mainly reserve team and youth team players against eyensbury and pinchbeck to hopefully get a result for this game.
U cant talk LJR, ur on the verge of a 3 season long loan out to cardiff youth team, with the first option of buying you back as were paying 10% of your wages.
-
Sneeks, looks like I'm playing at this stage, added to our list of missing players is now Ben Goodall who's on holiday - that's 3 x 1st choice forwards now awol for us, tell your defence they have an easy Saturday ahead of them mate!!!
We'll be avoiding Saturday friendlies from now on I think.. what a nightmare.
