AK Eleven - 4-3 - Fletton

A well hard fought game with lots of goals and drama. Most of us lads know each other pretty well with a couple of Netherton lads playing for both teams and just from generally playing each other but we soon forget that once the whistle goes. Fletton were the ones to strike first though and it was only after 5 mins...with good work coming from Brisley beating out defender on a 1 on 1 situation and putting the ball in the back of the net. It remained 1 nil at half time but to be fair they couldve been 2 or 3 up by the break if it wasnt for a couple of goal line clearances. It just didnt seem like our day, we looked flat and wernt vocal at all.

At half time saw us make 2 substitutions and after a grilling we were all fired up for the fightback. We scored immediately after the break, but it wasnt long before Fletton were 2-1 up. The score was 3-3 with about 7 minutes to go (Ak behind on each occasion) when our winger and Man of the Match Mohammed Sohail scored a brilliant goal to put us ahead for the first time in the game. We held it up well defensively for the last 7 mins to cap off a hard fought victory.

One more semi final for us next week against Whittlesy again..... I just hope the Fletton guys can do us a favour and beat whittlesy in the league so we can get that wrapped up too!! COME ON FLETTON!!

2ndly i fully expect next weekends semi to be a belter and a very vey tough game for both sides as im sure you will all be fired up after we beat you in the last semifinal we played!!
Been the closest season you boys had for a while im sure and we defo want to take that league title from you lot!!

Lol 2 fast putting a bit of pressure on us there, u cleraly have the advantage with having the points in the bag. As much as teams might have nothing to play for they still do not want to lose!!
Fletton x2 is gonna be mega tough ill tell ye that and Cherry Tree did not roll over easily yest!! and we still have them to play once more yet!!

Yes m8 they did, i didnt play due to injury and i no that we had 4 others missing to but no excuse the boys didnt perform but 3 points is 3 points!!
