Spec u lating
Spec
I know as we get a little bit older the old memory can play tricks
I read your long article in the ET tonight and found it interesting that you played in the Eye team that won all 30 games. It had me scratching my head a bit but just how many appearances did you actually make
Was it one outing or two I have taken advice on this so be careful with the answer

Didn't know I wrote an article in the ET Chris, and you being a journalist should well know that whatever you say to them makes no difference to what they print although to be fair to Matt Millard he used the words 'drop hints' instead of going for the screaming headline that I was quitting, fair play to him and that is why I speak to him.
As for the Eye United scenario I was part of the Eye set up for 3 years and if you care to ask Roger Daniels I'm sure he will confirm to you that I would be stood next to him with a tracksuit on for the majority of the time in case I was ever required because by then I think I was 18 stone plus, totally unfit, on the **** all the time but quite prepared to play for him should it be required.
'Taken advice and be careful with the answer', Judgey I am not a naive little boy.

Dont understand Spec. Is that 1 or 2 appearances then. Weren't you playing for the Three Horseshoes at that time. I have always understood and agreed that you were a very good Sunday morning player, but not got any evidence of any Saturday heroics.
-
I did not say you wrote the article Spec
But just how many appearances did you make
And all those trophies you keep telling us you have at home an old friend of yours said most of them are for eating the most pickled eggs after the game
-
In the hall of fame
Spiderman then first - Again you are more than welcome to come round my house and see my Saturday trophies and photo's if you wish, all 200+ of them but somehow Spidey I don't think you have the bo**ocks to do so, there's a challenge for you BARRY
Judgey - Don't think I actually started a game and never professed too either, I was making a point of a football team having to win 15 games on the trot not being impossible when a side had won 30 only a few years ago. Pickled egg remark was very funny but has revealed your source which I thought you journalists protected with your lives
-
MARK if your are claiming credit for trophies obtained for standing on the side watching then I have got a couple of hundred due to me as well. Its also not difficult to go out and buy some and get them engraved. I would love to give you the respect you obviously crave for Saturday achievements, so could you name just 10 out of the 200+ so that I might change my view?

I think you are being a bit immature BARRY really, when have I claimed a trophy for winning the league with Eye and whatever do I want to earn respect from a skirt wearing poof like you for
PM me and you can come round and see them all for yourself and I'll even talk you through all the big games I played in, I give you my word I won't harm you or make you feel threatened
-
Well there's the pickled egg trophies for a start then he did win a league medal with Mollins in the Prem but then again he was more on the side than on the pitch then too

How do you work that one out then Judgey, missed 4 games through injury and that was it, I think you are starting to get personal now, if you want to carry on go for it
-
I wouldnt bite spec he'll only offer you another pickled egg trophy aye
Don't think many people realise but its the poor buggers who do stand on the sidelines taking all the **** that actually deserve the trophies more than the players themselves!

Like that Lee, I'm not biting and in fact I can't believe I'm even f'ing replying

I once scored for Dodddington. Didn't get a trophy though!!!!

When I was 16 and four foot ten inches tall and 7.5 stone I won a donkey derby at Brean Greyhound Stadium paying 4/1 on the tote as I was made favourite in a 8 donkey race (just held onto its neck)
The red rosette I got is one of my favourite trophies! (and reminds me of a thinner life)
Can't match 200 Spec - though I played at a decent level in my late teens and early 20's it was always for crap teams (probably because I was playing for them) - as I am not from Peterborough, I only ever remember you being associated with Molins Saturdays - where did you enjoy most of your success?

Tommy get your little mouthpiece Barry from Budget and come and have a look with him, it will be nice to see if he actually exists or is just another of your pseudonym's, the offer is there for the pair of you again and again and again etc etc

MARK read my previous posts I am aware you know who I am and that I work in the same company as Mr Cooper, but in a completely different building and see him about once a month at most. You seem to be a bit *****ly about this subject and unwilling to put Mr Judge right for some reason. I am now sort of interested in how this pans out but not enough to come around your house which would be a bit over the top

Yet you still keep responding in a very prompt fashion Spec (according to the times of your posts), suggesting you are eagerly watching your computer screen awaiting a reply from either Barry (whoever he is) or Tommy, or Judgey come to think of it.
Not knocking the posts as have found them all entertaining, just found it ironic you saying that you have more important responsibilities, yet it took you 7 "bites" to come to that decision.
Can't really comprehend the reasoning behind this string as it is irrelevant what achivements you had during your playing career as it is only your management that matters now. Alex Ferguson was never a great footballer in the pro game, but among the best as a Manager.
As you quite rightly say why should you care what others think, you know the truth and you know that journalists will write their story not your story.
Right, back to the present, your game with Alconbury the pick of the bunch. If our previous game with Leverington is anything to go by, goals a-plenty afoot. Was 3-3 at half time with them in our first game of the season.

Just got in from work - blimey Spec I am not sure that this weight loss thing agrees with you mate!
Just because I unmasked Spiderman (unwittingly assisted by Wils) does not mean that by some strange twist of fate I become him.
I genuinely don't know much about your playing days on a Saturday Spec - for what it is worth I was a washed up has been by 25, with my early career consisting of Letchworth in the equivilent of the Ryman League and Baldock and Ickleford in the South Midlands League as the clubs I played at least a season with (I don't know if I am a Jonah, but I have just realised that none of these is still in existence!) plus Hotpoint & Brotherhoods in Peterborough so I didn't have a particularly glamourous playing career and indeed never really played in the Peterborough Prem for any length of time.
Therefore I am in no position to poke fun at anyones lack of playing pedigree locally and fair play to you for having such a highly sucessful time of it.

OK Tommy we'll go back to the mundane topics then on the site, who do you think uses the best seeds on their pitches in the league, I'd love to know what the groundsman at Perkins puts on that pitch away from the clubhouse, it's like a carpet playing on that, anyone else have any favourite pitches
Hyypia thought you'd done a runner Happy New Year to you mate

Still very much here mate, just not been interested in most of the posts. Thought i'd make a cameo on this string. Good luck with the weight loss competition. See you in a couple of weeks
