Local Club Folds
Has anyone seen this, regarding Kings Lynn?

Sad times really . . . although not sure why they though it prudent not to pay their tax bill.
What are your thoughts?

Guess nobody is bothered then!

When a Club continually chases the dream, spending both all income, and money that is not thir own (HMRC), the consequenses are simple: WHEN, not if, that Club either goes into Administration/CVA/Liquidation/Winding up etc.,
Five years ago there may have been some comment, Raph, but nowadays this is a common occurence.
My pre season statement that we may lose up to six clubs in FL and Conference (Steps 1 and 2), this season, is still a sadly good bet.
Even locally the sums being paid to players/managers ,even at Step 5,6, and 7 is wholly unacceptable, utterly non sustainable, and can only end in tears.
Raph, dear man, that should rersult in waking this web site up!!!

Nick what you got in the pipeline then in terms of letting the council know what we think? FRONT PAGE ET TODAY YET ANOTHER PROPOSED HIKE IN PRICES FOR LOCAL SPORTS FACILITIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Mon ami
Meeting last evening, discussed at length, and agreed actions, both nationally and in our case PCC.
There have been matters of Law to consider, and then apply
Regarding prices, I will get back to you after our core actions have bitten

Good man Nick. The PCC really have no idea if they think applying hard working youth sports projects with more charges is going to make things better for themselves!
They want to stop things like false expense claims from the tax payers kitty! the damn water fountains! bloody mobile ski seats whatever they call them they planning in the future! Lol.
Crazy this country theres a reccession people are skint so what do we do put the price of things up!

Mr T
You can kick arse from the outside and they can ignore it. Get yourself on the council Nick then you can give them a permanent guts ache and we sports people may then get a voice that can be heard.
The fountains were a flop many years ago but soap suds on Cathedral Square were such a regular occurence the soon filled them in with dirt and then they became ashtrays.
To go with the ski chairs will we be needing a Peterborough mountain rescue team because if it breaks down as much as the council falls down it will become a rusting eyesore within months and Pottyboro will have another badge to hang round it's neck.

As a general fan of Non-League football I have to say I am gutted to see Kings Lynn go.
Ok, they had an 'interesting' bunch of supporters at times and "The Walks" was a hostile place to go as an away fan (having been there a number of times with Weymouth). But they had good crowds and always seemed to be on the verge of the Conference.
What it does show is that a club in (effectively) the 7th tier of English football can be wound up for a small amount of money, how the hell do our local UCL clubs survive?
