Just trying to be diplomatic BOTN, as mentioned above it is gonna be a tough league, especially with so many new teams. Any one know anything about Hartford Sun?????????????????????????
Just wanted to say what a great game it was between Castor and Gedney which finished 1-1, one of the best games i have played in for ages! I thought Gedney had a good side and pleased to get a draw, good food afterwards to.
Also want to mention that i thought the ref was really good, i think it was Damon Pywell??
Damo is certainly one of the better refs around....
Ours yesterday wasn't the best as he bottled a clear cut pen for us and ignored several synical fouls/elbows etc, but it's better than no ref and it is a hard to do with everyone shouting at you, so fair play and apart from 1 of our lads shouting at him for ignoring one right in front of him we let it ride...
Just glad to be up and running for the season.
Not sure on it being a close league, after watching Blue star on Sat blow away their opposition I can't see many teams taking points from them this season TBH. But then I haven't seen any of the other teams play
Would be interesting to see how they did if Matt Heron wasn't available for one reason or another.....
Safehands that comment is crazy! Bluestar has quality all through the side and squad if Matty Heron was not to play I'd expect 1 of the other squad members to come in and do the same job! We are a great squad squad with great players not a team with 1 star!
Didn't mean to disrespect any of the other players, just think he makes a huge difference to your side.....not just the goal scoring but all round.
So I take it you have been down and watched then?
I thought when they played us they were a good all round team, in fact Matt Heron was very quiet that day and we only drew 3-3 with them.
Matt is a good player, but Bluestar have a good all-round unit: no superstars in any one position, but a good sum of all parts within the team. If one were to be absent, I think they'd function just as well with their replacement.
Played against you in pre-season, and against matt on numerous occasions.
Just my opinion......
