Think the prem is gonna be a funny old league this year! With alot of sides beating each other! I think Whittlesey proved that last night having beat Ramsey Saturday they went and lost 4-0 to Deeping? strange result?I think after many years on the decline the Peterborough Prem is now on the incline!!!!

Think the fact Deeping had a few UCL players playing last night probably helped the cause. Pinchbeck look the tip for everyone although the lad that plays up top (Dunn) looked very good for Deeping Rangers on Tuesday. Deeping must be paying more than Pinchbeck !!!! Certainly can't see Alconbury challenging for much except the wooden spoon. Think Longy has his work cut out there.

None of the Deeping scorers from last night are UCL players, did they have a load of ringers in last night then?

    Hi Guys,

We have started very well, but a good start does not win you the league. It might be an old cliche but keep being told to take one game at a time, we will no more about ourself and the squad after the next 4 games as we are away at Coates on Saturday not an easy place to go, followed by a county cup game then we host Ramsey which could be seen as 6 pointer already and then have a difficult journey into the unknown at Stilton.

Last night yes we scored 7 but we didnt get out of 2nd gear and never hit the heights that we did when we won away at Leverington, that was the best team performance I have ever been involved with.

    Cant wait for Saturday.

Im so glad everyone has something to say about the prem already it could be a very interesting season and its going to keep the chat interesting on here too.
Sad to say Eye have had what looks like a shocking start 1 point from 9.
I guess we should be written of already!
Injury ridden already we picked up 4 injuries at Netherton on sat while 2-0 up and no subs down to 10 through injury we lost 3-2 just one of them things (not sure why we played in kids goals)
I just hope we give the rest of the teams in the league a good challenge similar to what we have produced so far because regardless of the score lines we have played well.

Eye started poorly last season and Kings Cliffe started very strongly. Come the end of the season, Eye were promoted and Kings Cliffe failed to reach the Prem.

It's not a tale of August, but a story of the whole season.

deeping had a ex ucl manager playing and nipper on the bench im sure theres a rule about limits on ucl players deeping sports played well and where the better side by a mile so freak result is a bit harsh on us we can give anyone a game on our day

I guess you mean Nipper and Tuncay Korkmaz then? The limit is 2 UCL players I believe, so Deeping not done anything wrong?

Rapha, i dont recall kings cliffe finishing last season poorly, they missed out on reaching the prem on goal difference, won the last few games but just not by enough goals ( even tho the ground didnt pass inspection for the prem ), but thats football.

Harbs - i am sure you boys will more than hold your own, you had a rocky start last season in div 1 n went onto win it, could be a case of deja vu??

I meant in comparison to the first half of the season and I hold my hands up to say that I didn't exactly make a positive contribution myself! I should have said middle part of season, rather than the end Jimmy.
