    Default Referees are getting worse!!

    Macca Sports
when will the Peterborough league comitee look at improving referee standards in the prem??

Todays match between Coates Athletic and Pinchbeck United was ruined by a referee who, (in his own words afterwards), "was not in a good enough position to give a fair and correct decision" and so decided to gamble and make an incorrect decision by awarding Coates an incorrect penalty with seconds to spare...costing Pinchbeck TWO valuable points. Everyone in the ground saw the infringement upon the Pinchbeck skipper apart from the one person in the ground who is getting paid money to spot them!!!!!! Terrible and i hope this doesn't have an affect on standings come the end of the season!

    anyone elses game have issues????

i had massive problems with a pro ref today, he is the worse we have had so far this season by a mile, due to international break we got a championship offical in our fa vase game. you are still top superman and ref's cant see everything, it happens at every level. but one thing is for sure, a ref doesnt gamble with a penalty decision, he must have thought he saw something and awarded a pen, right or wrong, we all get blinkered at every level about our teams and ref's get paid to do a horrible job. it wont affect pinchbeck at all come the end of the season.

I certainly didn't see any supermen yesterday. No doubt the offside that was given wasn't contraversial either !!! There was an awful lot of others who did not agree with that decision either.

Personally I believe the amount of unnecessary pressure Pinchbeck put the referee under from the first minute resulted in some arguable decisions. The appealing at every point of contact was pathetic. I have never heard so many screams from, what was, a game with zero bad fouls.

Doesn't explain why some Pinchbeck players refused to shake hands with my players.

no excuse to not shake hands. sounds like pinchbeck are llike the man united of the league trying to bully officials from this report . looks like its going to be a good league with most people having the ability to take points of each other . just want to say i hope jon aka abas has a succssesful operation today . hes tried real hard this year and is a shame that injury has struck him again and like to thank parson drove very much for their help in everyway at the game with all thier players being concerned and helping where possible . you and your fans were a credit to your club . get well soon boss man

Sounds as though money can't buy you everything, whether that's refereeing decisions or having the decency to shake the oppositions hand at the end of the game.

Well done coates, dark horses for the title!

Apparently the ref was on our payroll. Cost us 30 quid To be fair, if he was biased towards us, he would have over ruled the offside decision.

Personally i felt that the vast majority of the decisions went Pinchbecks way and there was definitely a case for who shouts the loudest. I was happy with the way we played and yes i agree, when you have Alconbury and Stamford taking points away from Moulton and Leverington then it could be interesting.

    My money is on Pinchbeck.

i would like to apologise to Coates for any Pinchbeck United player who did not shake hands saturday. Football is a passionate game and obviously every player who crosses that white line wants to win, however it should be a game enjoyed by gentleman who show a sporting behaviour. (win, lose or draw) For this i do apologise.

I was not at all suggesting Coates at all had anything to do with my qualm, in fact i feel that their play did deserve a point. My issue was with the fact that the referee has made a massive call in the 90th minute which to the majority of people could be seen to be incorrect. i wish Coates every success, (apart from the return fixture) :-) and hope they do accept my apology on behalf of the team.
