we just do our best to stop drinking on the sidelines, sometimes people do slip past with drink under jackets or sometimes in their hands, but maybe on the day you refer to, brain(gateman) could have been fetching a ball from the carpark which he does or something else while this person sneaked thro with a couple of bottles.

fair play lads, I know it must be a nightmare to try and control but I stood by the gate for a good 30 mins or so and the beer traffic was constant, it wasn't a problem to be fair and most were simply enjoying themselves but your 'gate keeper' must have been having an 'off day' perhaps
It was a good game to watch by the way and your lot deserved the win I thought....

by the way if any Saturday teams fancy arranging any pre-season friendlies we'd be up for it -
