Only fair to take the rough with the smooth, so belatedly here is the result from our match last Saturday.

We had three lads taken up to the first team (Gerard Evans, Sam Moakes and our Captain Owens), who themselves had 7 players unavailable through suspension and injury.

Cogenhoe Res are a class act and they will go several points clear at the top when they win their games in-hand.

We only had two midfielders, so had to play a very attacking formation, but it saw the debut of another crop of players, namely Leigh Northcott, Ondre Odain, Lee Mills and Jacko (not sure of his full name). Our sub keeper continued to deputise for the injured Big Dave Liske.

On the bright side, I scored with a nice header at a corner. Our other goal came from the penalty spot via Ondre's boot.

A massive 6-pointer this Saturday against Northampton Spencer, which could hopefully see us climb out of the relegation zone with a win.
