AGM - PSMFL ... VOTE?

I just thought I'd throw this out for discussion - it's nothing to do
with myself personally, or the club I'm with I hasten to add, but it's
something fairly important to Sunday morning football!
What would people think to this type of vote at the upcoming AGM:
A vote of - No Confidence in the current Secretary, if a ready made
replacement was available and willing to step into it????
Has the Man with the 5 year plan succeeded? Are we any better off now
than when he took the helm? Could someone new improve on what we have currently?
I just thought seeing as we're here to discuss the improvement of
things why not ask the people you know within the game (other
clubs/managers/players etc) what they think of this possibility, ask
about lads and see what the general feel is?
I might know of a ready made replacement but he would need us all to
help...
Before anyone starts, I repeat - This has nothing to do with me
personally and/or the club I'm affiliated with, I've just been made
aware that this is something that could happen if people thought it
was a good idea.
If asked (and I was) what our club think, then I'd side with a change but only if a capable NUETRAL replacement was ready for the job and I hear there is....
whats your thoughts??? show support and it may happen - if you prefer things left alone then I'm sure they will be!

Called up to the national squad
Interesting train of thought but before anyone could think about voting they would have to know who was willing to stand. It would be of no use whatsoever in having a replacement who is going to quit at the first sign of a problem. Serving on any league committe is not easy believe me. Just ask Tommy Flynn, a man I have the utmost respect for. After all it will be one voice and whoever it may be they still may not be able to affect change. There are lots of different thoughts on what is wrong with Sunday football but when it comes down to it the comittee is there to serve the clubs. It is meant to be a Democracy and if we all want the same thing then the committee's job should be easy. You cannot blame all that is wrong soley on a committe, the clubs have to shoulder some of the blame and should act accordingly and resposibly.
-
Agree with you Mick. You can't hold the committee to blame for everything. Whatever they do somone will have a moan about it. If people have a problem with the committee they should show it with their feet and actually turn up and speak at the AGM.
-
well said lads... of course you can't blame the committee for everything but bear in mind we have 10's of thousands of pounds sitting in the PSMFL bank account and our Sunday game is going down the toilet, at the end of the day if you're in charge of that then maybe it's time to move over and give someone else with a fresh approach a chance?
By the way, most think that the PSMFL do a stirling job - myself included, most of them work dam hard for little return and I for one am grateful, the thread was started to highlight a certain individual and perhaps how he's had a negative impact on our entire set-up... for instance:
Incomprehesible rules
Fines with no logic applied
Overly strict and aloof
5 year plan that's obviously failed
Rakes of cash in the account but none spent on our game
Just a few things a few clubs and managers have talked about when discussing things...
But everyone doesnt have to agree, it's simply thrown out to discuss.
Perhaps we should just call for a general vote to re-vote in every candidate of the PSMFL? That way those that really put the effort in will have our backing to re-affirm how much we support them?

hows it going, dont exactly no how it all works, but at the moment we have had major problems. the secertaryand manager from last season has stepped down. so i am trying to sort out our league registration. at the moment i have been told ive missed the dead line, i have spoken to fred johnson who was the one set aside to chase us up. ive told fred that we want to continue and that i need paper work. i was then rang on a monday night to say id have to attend a meeting the night after unfortunattly i was on nights. so was giving a piece of paper through my letter box on thursday to get to nick tittman by the saturday. all in all we are now being in my opionion made to beg for the league to keep us in to the point were im almost ready to give up. we have three kits a pub putting up cash and a saturday club backing us to. after a second place finish and a cup runners up last year and about 15 seasons in sunday football surly this should have been able to of been sorted a little faster.

Hello mate,
gimme a shout if you need any help sorting things out...
As I mentioned above the rules in place are enforced with no common sense!
** have to add something here lads... to be fair to the PSMFL I hear that Fred Johnson really pulled out the stops to get your team signed up in time after your old manager had folded it??? I hope it's now all sorted.
easy to blame them when we dont have all the facts I guess, sorry if I offended anyone!
It would be a massive shame to lose your side from the leagues, dont give up on it.
