    Default Benwick looking for manager

    Macca Sports
Benwick lost all their games last season, but how many teams would go through this, and still complete the season? As a result of this they won several fair play awards There is an article about the team, and the wider club in general (see link at bottom). Despite their results, they do actually have some decent players that can make their mark in Div 2 (and above), though obviously they will need some more players. In the longer term they have the benefit of several youth teams coming through, and the structure of the club is sound. They also lease their own field with very good facilities.

Details on how to apply can be found on the link below.

i know of a decent local manager who approached benwick and offered to take over and had some very good loyal players who were going to go with him but they knocked him back. they recently got back in touch and asked him to take over but he is now involved elsewhere(and a lot better too!).

its their own fault really as i think they have thought a bit too much of themselves as they were looking for the kind of c.v. and credentials semi-pro clubs would be looking for and they were only the div 2 whipping boys last season. as you have mentioned though a lot of credit should go to them for battling on despite this and continuing when it looked like they were about to fold.
