In the hall of fame
Good thread Jim
Be quite close I think between Deeping, PNS & Holbeach. Certainly Holbeach have a lot to prove with the wedge they are shifting (I tried to sign Ashley Stevens once - ouch!) and need to be looking top half. Deeping have a very good budget as well - only Kings Lynn and maybe Spalding & Long Buckby paying more so expectations there will be high. PNS still have a decent budget but will do well to improve on last years finish.
Think Yaxley will do better this year but will still be behind Blackstones who were very well organised last year

Warming the bench for the 1st team
Deeping
Holbeach
Blackstones/PNS
Yaxley
For me Deeping will be top 3 and hanging on to Kings Lynn coat tails but only just! Holbeach have been good pre season and I hear they are shifting some wedge so I expect them to do well, PNS will be strong but not as strong as last year and they have lost quality players from last year and not replaced them so mid table for me. I also think Blackstones will do well and Jarvo has done some good wheeling & dealing in the summer. Yaxley will be better but still bottom 6 but expect them to be stronger next year as they will have money coming in from their clubhouse which is fantastic.
Good luck to all local teams!

Warming the bench for the 1st team
Yaxley managed a victory, at last, last night, but your bottom 6 prediciton looks spot on.
PNS far exceding ecpectations thus far and Deeping and Holbeach going well, despite indifferent form. Spalding on the march, it seems, and will be interesting to see how Stones respond to losing two on the spin.

In the hall of fame
Had the pleasure of taking in Yaxley v Irchester & PNS v Kings Lynn yesterday after Iceland trip cancelled. Facilities at Yaxley absolutely first class, though team were a bit fortunate to get 3 points and a greta fightback from PNS from 2 down with 12 minutes to go to get a draw in front of an incredible 466 people.
About 200 of these were from Peterborough, and who knows - maybe there is an appetite for non league football in the city?
