Danny Baxter - RIP
Gents its with a very heavy heart that I have to let you know that Danny passed away yesterday evening
Danny was a top top man on and off the pitch, as anyone who knew him will testify - a terrific lad who didn't have a bad word to say against anyone and someone who's bravery in battling for so long against a ******* of an illness will certainly be an inspiration to all those who were privileged to have known and played with and against him.
Blue Star has lost a top player and we all have lost a great friend.
Love ya Danny boy, you rest now lad and we'll meet again........

Took me under his wing when i first signed for Whittlesey United, and then convinced me to stick with him for one more year and move to Bluestar with the boys.
Truly inspriational.

Danny Baxter RIP
Can only repeat what what everyone else has said about Danny - he was one of the nicest people in football. It was a pleasure to be his manager when playing for Real Whittlesey.
Danny was one of the most honest, respectful players I've known and boy could he play a bit as well.
There are no words adequate for times like this.
Deepest sympathies at this very sad time for Danny's family and friends from all of the Fitzjohn's.

I echo the deepest condolences that I have already passed via Colin. Would be happy to honour Danny with a minute silence before our match against REC Whittlesey on Sunday morning and fair play to the lads for going ahead with the game; I'm sure that it's what he would have wanted.
