I would love to see a league table set up for my age old bug bear of hospitallity. How about something on the lines of 1pt per player (incl subs and manager) for those having a drink of any sort at the oppositions club house, additional points awarded for supporters/hangers on. Further points for contributing to football card.
I will start it off for our home games so far :-
Baston nil point
Ketton Res nil point
Stilton 8pnt plus 1 bonus point (please correct me if I am wrong as I am going from memory)
hospitallity is a strange one in football terms as in sum teams cant be botherd. we as in peterborough rovers hav played two leauge games against gedney hill away all players and management went to there pub 23 lads. oakham res at home not one turned up even though they knew food was being put on and they said they would come back.
The only team that have come back to The Boro Bar so far have been Mr Geordie's REC Whittlesey, although the food was delayed a little on that occasion, but it is generally always out and ready for 12:30.
Guyhirn did not come back, neither did Parkside.
RAFA IF WE ARE INVITED I INSIST ANY TEAM IAM INVOLVED WITH GOES BACK TO HOME TEAMS PUB. we hav our 1st home game of season on sunday against coopers and hope they and out team come back to straw bear.i allways go back to pub if invited win lose or draw and cafc is right we should do a leauge. after all football is about game then banter after it.
in addition Gary a minus point for those clubs, who despite been advised as to the hosptiality, when I ring to confirm the fixture, and despite a further invite on matchday when swapping team sheets, and despite then confirming they are coming STILL dont make an appearance!!!
Warboys -1 point
Long Sutton 3 points
Langtoft 15 points + bonus point ( a real credit to Ben and the Langtoft lads)

So we have 6 teams on the league table so far. I would like to think that some of our opposition who we have shared a few ales with we score us !!
The only team to come back to the boro bar so far this season has been Kings Cliffe res ( even tho it was a select few ) and when we played peterborough rovers res , 4 of there team came back, which was the secretary, the manager , a player n a spectator.
We always go back to our opponents even if we only stay a short while....

I went with P'Boro Rovers to Northampton 46 miles away on Saturday in the cup, we lost heavily but all stayed in their club house for a pint or 3 and did the footy card etc, I had a word with an old fella there who remembered my old EMAP side beating their village neighbours Kislingbury in the semi of the northants sunday cup a few years back, he made a comment about FC Inter being at their club the Saturday before last in the senior cup playing their 1st team, he was ****ed off at ALL of them high-tailing it out of there without staying for a pint or speaking to them about it, he said Rovers had restored their faith and were a credit to our league :O)
I can confirm that the Rovers lads are very genuine and will always make the effort where possible - top social side!
Bratts, to be fair though you played Rovers ressies at Bretton Woods and Boro Bar is other side of the city if its the game I saw you at?
It's difficult in Peterborough if you have to travel right past your house and lots of other pubs/distractions etc to get you entire side to the pub in question? just saying is all, I always make the effort regardless of who I'm playing for or against - it's half of what the whole day is about surely?
Warboys = Nil
Sawtry = 2
Powerleague = 5 or 6
Ok I`ll add ours.
St neots away, both sides stayed.
Oudnle away, poor show by them but we all stayed
Alconbury at home, at least 75% stayed for around an hour.
Kings Cliffe away, both sides stayed and had a beer or two (best so far)
Coates home, 90% stayed as always good lads on and off the park
Parson Drove home, 75% lads stayed for a beer or two.
Netherton away, night game but both sides stayed.
Sean - when we played rovers at bretton woods it was there home game and we went back to there place the post office club, which is no further away from bretton woods as what the boro bar is to stanground college...
1st game v Pboro Rovers , all there team + 75% of ours
2nd game v Netherton , all there team + 75% of ours
3rd game home v rovers , all ours and 4 of them
4th game v Kings cliffe res , 85% of ours + 8 of them ( 3 were spectators )

Peterborough Sports after kicking our butt were a credit to the hospitallity league table.
Much needed money was taken and 10 out of 10.
Big thank you to Chris and his lads.
I so wish that some people would get their facts straight before slagging other clubs off as a result of some bit of hearsay from a third party - we (FC Inter) hired a minibus the day of the game so that the whole squad could travel together to Harpole. When I received an email days earlier confirming the match there was no mention of post-match hospitality. When we arrived at Harpole the Bar Manager & Club Secretary both waited until after the match had finished to offer us hospitality, I personally told them both that we would not be staying because we had three players that had to be back to Peterborough to start night shifts at work for 6PM. With dropping every player off that left no time to go the Harpole Clubhouse and have drinks with them. If it makes you any happier I purchased a can of coke as we were leaving.
Mate I was simply relaying EXACTLY what I was told, the old chap who helps run that clubhouse and has done for many years said to me that they were ****ed off that nobody from FC Inter stayed for a single drink, they (clubhouse staff) were not told until after you'd gone, but thats not the point he was making, his point was nodoby stayed for a single drink and whichever way you look at it thats a little bit crap as you've all travelled 45 miles to their clubhouse and are all there as a group, the expectation is to stay and accept the hospitality if offered and thats the point of this thread I think?....
You yourself have just admitted that you all cleared off in a mini-bus right after the game, where's the 'hearsay' and whats not 'factual' mate?
I doubt Harpole have much sympathy that you had players needing to be back for work etc because thats always the case with every team, several lads cant make it for whatever reason but the rest should have made arrangements to stay for a drink/food BEFORE leaving Peterborough surely? Not all go in a mini-bus knowing you cant stay because some of the lads need to be back to work, thats already saying you aint stopping for drinks whatever is on offer as your decision is made by the plans you've made prior to leaving Peterborough?
As I say was just passing a comment on that was told to me when we all stayed in their clubhouse and had food/beers etc mate
so far out of the 3 sides we have played at home, ketton res come top of my list as every singe 1 of there players came back to the boro bar after our game. Thank you lads!!!!

We must of upset them then Bratts!! Not one of their lads returned to our pub and my assistant manager (plus a player or two) spoke to a couple of theirs who confirmed they would attend!! Little disappointed but then i don't think they showed great sportmanship throughout the game so i was not surprised!! Our young goalkeeper (not that age really is a factor) got battered and bruised all game (mostly from accidental collisions) and duly went down injured when he needed (on every occasion he either had the ball or it was out of play so no advantage was gained) yet a number of their players huffed and puffed showing very little respect about the him needing to 'man up' etc etc. Not something i feel is appropriate!
Dave - i think they came back more to gloat than anything, especially after we threw away a 2 goal lead in a game they wernt really in at all, we recieved a few late challenges from them, one of which resulted in a player of mine retaliating and getting sent off with 20 mins to go, no gripes to the result as my lads should have had em dead n buried by half time, need to improve our game if we are to be title contenders
