We've been very fortunate at kings cliffe with every side that has played at our place making the effort to come to the club and enjoy our hospitality. Which is always appreciated as the club lay on hot food for both sets of players and officials.
Top of the pile though has to be eye sports for both home and away. Perfect guests at ours and likewise hosts at theirs.
I always insist on our players accepting the oppositions hospitality and they are fined if they fail to show for a drink after the game.

Ref who did come back, good on ya. Max pts.

Early KO's I guess make no difference at all. I am starting to think it is just a change in attitude.

Those that are together off the pitch are together on it.

Gary, with regards togetherness you knew that anyway!

Still think an early KO gives less of an excuse, if one were needed, but the biggest issue for me has to be those teams that confirm they are gonna come back, only to no show once the game is done - there is NO excuse for that, just bad manners.

Alex, little tip for our pre- season game next year - get a catapult to feed Micky with, its quicker and there's less mess LOL

Mick - i think it is worse than bad manners, i think it shows a total lack of respect

I know that Sunday mornings are a little different (they shouldn't be really, as the match finishes at lunch time - everyone should be ready for a feeding!)

The only team that has come back to The Boro Bar so far has been REC Whittlesey and we beat them by a few goals.

Our Secretary lets every team know about the food, but they still don't come back. We ALWAYS have at least 8-10 lads go back to everyone's pub after our away games and when the away team don't have a gaff to go back to, we go back to The Boro Bar instead and the landlord puts food on for us a short notice. THAT is hospitality!

not just saying it cause we are a whittlesey team but it was put into us by our elders from whittlesey so we are just following on with good manners ie mr birch mr quince mr mills that if offered you allways go back to home teams venue . if you win lose or draw and any team iam involved with allways will .

Yet no one has come back to the Strawbear as yet after our home matches Colin... played 2 teams. I do thinks Sundays are a little more difficult tho as most peopel are having the traditional sunday roast and need to get back. However it would be polite just to let the team know you dont intend on coming back

Tell all the tims ye no Rangers are gonna get 4 in a row!!! Bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy lalalalalala

Would like to apologize to coates reserves on behalf of our club. It was brought to my attention last night that our reserves were a no show back at the strawbear. I've made my feelings known to the reserve team manager on this so hopefully it won't happen again...

No thank you mate. Best of luck for the rest of your season and hopefully you can start to get the Rovers up that league table, top set of lads and officials.

    Kings Cliffe Res 0 pts

Alex KC of old would not have been a surprise. I do think that football attitudes have changed and it is beyond the point of no return. I despair at some of the sh!t I hear on and off a pitch and I'm not talking about opinions, I am talking about attitudes and manners.

Maybe the easiest way to deal with this is to not supply any food for the opposition. Then if some do decide to show their faces I can nip to the chippy and get a load of chips like Leverington and Uppingham. Then I don't pay for wasted food.

Chatteris -1 point. Played a Cambs Cup game against Chatteris Reserves on Saturday, there was also another game being played (their A team I think) went into the clubhouse after the game, just a handful of the Chatteris's two teams came in, and it goes without saying no refreshments provided - we all had a pint and then left - Pi55 poor effort gentlemen.

Catworth FC in the Hunts Cup great hosts, their entire team and 5 or 10 supporters went back to their local, good real ale a bonus and they laid on a top spread of food, good banter too. Restored my faith a little.

Yes, a lot of respect for Catworth on and off the pitch to be fair. A few lads from Huntingdon Town and other UCL sides, but tremendous attitude: no egos.

Just wanted to take the time to (NOT) thank Leverington team and Management for coming back to our pub for a drink and food we laid on.

Gus took the time to tell them where to go (2 minutes away) yet only 2 players went for a pint and one of them was a friend of mine.

Just to remind every club that money is tight and to get sponsorship is getting harder.

Less than an hour of all teams would help 1000%
