well thats a shame we only got the 8, i was so wrong. But in fairness to Mabs & jock they got a team together & they actually didnt deserve the score line just for there effort. it all went to pot when they changed linesman at half time i think!

the team was there??? there should of been 19 players down there 5 pulled out last night and 4 on morning of game this has happend in every game so far iam staying with rec as secretary and think mabby will do a gd job by tapping into star team
Yes they were there & played well 1st half. Run out of steam & after the 5th goal gave in a bit. We could have scored 15 but missed loads 1 on 1's.
Mans will do ok, thought the team he had out there today gave all they could. Much respect from me for there effort & I hope he gets good team.

We beat Parkside 3-2 at their gaff. We went 2-0 up in first half through two goals from Tommy Wales, but then conceded a wonder-goal from John Regan (no keeper could have stopped it, was right between the stanchion). Parkside then levelled after the break following a misunderstanding between our keeper and defender. The game was then pretty even until the last 5 minutes, when Ben Goodall scored a great winning goal for us from outside of the box.
We are still top of the league going into 3 county cup games and although we didn't expect to be there, we are happy with our 4 wins and a draw in the league so far.
I am blessed with a big squad of good players, as we have been required to change at least 4 players each week so far after having 4 lads retire through injury and others with various commitments.
Coopers, West Town and Sports Lounge are sniffing around close behind us though!
Fair play to Coopers as well yesterday...showed great sportsmanship before a ball had even been kicked by offering us some of their players if we could not get 11 and would still let the result stand!!! Unfortunally after managing to get the bare 11 together and getting the score back to 2-1. We lost our GK to an injury. Again Coopers showed great sportsmanship by allowing our sub who had gone off a ht injured come back on to go in goal... but that for me is when it went wrong as our keeper (who was at Newcastle as a kid untill he got injured) was in immense form having already saved a pen and keeping the score down. We then lost all shape and Coopers had the easy job of scoring for fun... I would like to add they were given 4 pens yesterday!!! But i feel that we are now getting a steady side together and in the coming weeks will have 1 as the players that kept letting Colin down will not be asked to play by myself and Maby and we will get a few others in... So hopefully we will have a little say on the destination of the title... (Coopers all day long lol).....
Oh and Macca your a fantastic lino, unlike the lad that went onto do it and forgot he was doing the job lol..

i hope you do get a gd team together as you know how many let us down every week.ive said to maby will stay as secretary maybe trying to run two teams was too much for me glad to get rid of stress of sundays now tbh.
