Interesting Div 2 results yesterday ...
Can't believe that Coopers embarrassed West Town ... 12-1 ??!!! yesterday.
Is there anyone who was there yesterday (Macca?) who can tell us what happened?
We beat Guyhirn 9-0 away on a tricky cold pitch and horrible weather. We had our new signing Ben Mears in goal for us, who didn't have much to do, but distributed the ball well when he needed to. 4 goals from Tommy Wales keeps him as the league top scorer. If only we had more clean sheets, our goal difference would be handsome!

Warming the bench for the 1st team
I asked Macca yesterday and in typical form he just said they should of scored 20 hahaha..
A clean sheet and everyone really enjoying it yesterday was good (me hitting Adsys car with a shockingly bad pass was amongst the highlights haha) and but for 2 long range efforts and our keeper switching off for a split second in our game prior to that, we'd now have 2 of those on the bounce - clean sheets that is.
And dont we have a +15 goal diff now? Thats clear 2nd best in the league, not so bad really mate.

Called up to the national squad
they didnt want to play as the ground was hard bless them! but i must admit when i got there i thought it was little dangerous. But in fairness to our boys we went out there moved the ball around & were 3 or 4 nil up after 30 mins & it could have been 7 or 8.
The had couple pull out as they didnt want to get a twisted sock, but they still had very good team out. Just 1 of those games that if you work hard & do it simple it just seems to click & we didnt have any superstars playing either!

Wasn't an attack on our defence per se Sean, was just saying that as a team we have conceded 21 goals, which is only outweighed by the 36 we've scored! It has helped having a relatively settled formation and back 4 the past few games.
I spoke with Karl Down Macca and he said that they had a few out, but there was no excuse to lose by so many. Even Guyhirn have only shipped a maximum of 9. I would be gutted to have not kept clean sheet though

Called up to the national squad
well they wouldn't have scored if it wasn't for our defender taking it round our keeper for the lad to tap into a empty net! like I said few bottled it as didn't want to get muddy, but team they had out was still very good & I can honestly say, i was bit worried that we'd loose that 1 as we weren't at full strength. don't think anyone seen that score coming lol

The same happened against us for you too Macca. We saw that you had a weakened side, with Kenny throwing up the beer from the night before on the sideline, but you get tricked into thinking it is a walkover and then get punished. We had a good start to the season and were brought down a peg or two when we had three straight defeats in league and cup, but we hope to have arrested the decline now.
I think that you will have the top spot come the end of the season, but we will try to push you all the way and secure second at least.
