    Leverington 0-2 Deeping.

Leverington warmed up for their Cambs Cup Quarter Final Tie with a poor performance against a side that they had beaten just before Xmas.

Conceding after 20 seconds didn't help after a defensive mix up when two players both had the chance to clear, but hesitated and the Deeping lad took full advantage. Deeping scored again towards half time, when again a poor clearance ended with the ball being forced over the line at the far post.

In between the goals, Leverington had two good (1 on 1) opportunities, but these were not taken, with Aaron McKenna being unlucky when his shot came back off the crossbar.

Just on half time a near open goal was missed and the Deeping keeper made a good save from Sam Cubberley midway through the second hal, when he looked odds on to score.

On the day there were too many mediocre performances and the lads will have to up their game considerably next week.

The MOM was the Deeping keeper whose handling was excellent throughout.
