Gerard... i remember playing you once i think in a cup game we lost 3 or 4-2 against you in extra time ... i remember it well because i had tonsillitis, a chest infection and a hangover and it put me out of work for 2 weeks after playing that game... the things you do for football.
Looking forward to sunday, but dont think game will go ahead due to current weather forecast.
Game as all still as scheduled Gerard.
Tell all the tims ye no Rangers are gonna get 4 in a row!!! Bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy lalalalalala
I'm with cocos in the prem gezza, played first few months of the season but never intended to be anything other than back up on Sundays this season as the game is on its arse so badly on Sunday mornings it really doesn't float my boat anymore. Does matey play for you who came to watch us at Huntingdon last season and just heckled everyone?

The short answer is the whingers and whiners
They always do the quality of football down and are never heard to praise anyone but themselves.
Thereare some quality players in the PSMFL but a few of them seem to think they can turn up and play whenever they want and f$Łk the rest, so one week you get a good even game, and the next week a thumping is dished out. i am not attempting to do most of the lads down, they turn up pay their subs and play and Well Done to them. Alec and Starkey's Coco are like that and what can they do - nothing. Sadly the Lime Tree were the same, couldn't get a team out on a regular basis. Guess how many ex L.T. players turned out for their NEW teams last weekend - 11, just enough to play a game.
As for accusing teams of being pot hunters, they went where the league assessed they should be, so the league were a bit out, the teams that are definitely in the wrong leagues probably weren't at the beginning of the season. Hampton (Div.1 ) have improved their squad (ala Lime Tree), Peterborough Town squad really deserve Prem Football, Ploughman could possibly win as many as they would lose in the Prem as would Farcet and Lancs Bombers.
One of my big gripes is why clubs need to sign on 60+ player to fill 22 places (if there is a reserve team as well), I know the cries of availability, work, family etc come up but 22 places + 6 sub spots means 42 players are not even being given the choice of playing, even 50% of them would put a new team in the league. I feel sorry for Guyhirn, Woodston, and a couple of others who should, and if they stick with us, will be in more competitive divisions next season.
So where does the Sunay Morning League go from here.
We have discussed asking the clubs for their ideas and that means anything from fines to "ringer spotting" and fairer football. If you really are interested and have the time to put it down in black and white send it to Princey or Fred and it will get discussed - I promise
I think that you do a fantastic job with the PSMFL. The County FAs could learn a lot from you about common sense, flexibility and understanding how hard it is to run a club at our grassroots level.
I don't think that people should judge the PSFML on the Prem. The PDFL were in a rotten state until the past three seasons when teams in the lower divisions made their way up to strengthen the top divisions.
Boro Bar Ultras are going nowhere and there are other teams in our division who would hold their own in the Prem and have longevity too (Coopers, Parkside, Cross Keys, West Town). Give it a couple of seasons and we'll get up there too.
Don't worry about Sunday morning football, it is on the up. It is just going through a period of transition.
I think people are missing the point slightly.
No one questions the integrity of the committee or the lower leagues and indeed they are commended for their passion and commitment but the simple fact is that standards have declined and this is due to many factors but mainly cost, players attitudes and Saturday clubs not wanting players to play! The sides mentioned above would not have made Div one 5 or so years ago let alone the prem and this current situation is a stark reality of sunday football across the region and UK. I know Northants and other caounties are experiencing the same issue as PSMFL!
Unfortunately, the league will be judged on the Prem as it is the top league and is the same at all levels no matter how much we like it! I hope the league does get back to the glory days as of previous years but unless clubs/players attitudes change & costs come down this will not be the case![]()

In have just received more feedback from players/clubs on this site than the league has had all season. Keep it coming but e-mail it to me. Raph will tell you how. DIV 1 for Ultra's next season Raph
Foggy stick to getting sent off on Saturdays mate lol..
The Sunday Prem has ALWAYS been a nightmare, I've watched it, played in it and managed in it over the years and it's always been the same, lots pre-madonnas who treat it with disdain and sign for the best clubs for a year or so and it leaves other teams in the same league struggling to compete (not Netherton I hasten to add, who do things very well), it's always been a league that people struggle to reach and when they do they eventually fold as social sides struggle to maintain a side at that level, no easy answer but if you look at all the other leagues they are very well contested as usual and very enjoyable.
oh and some of the teams mentioned would easily have held their own in the prem 4 or 5 years ago, I managed a side in that league back then and can say without doubt that the top 3 or 4 in Div 2 would have held their own in the prem back then and now - but saying that holding your own in the prem today wouldnt be hard would it, it's a bit of mess, but it's nothing new, when Racing 252 finished a few years back I think we ended with 7 teams in the Prem, nobody said the leagues were lacking quality back then and it's the same now I reckon.
Maybe a scottish system in the Prem might work going forward, play each other 4 times and/or split at the halfway point into 2 mini leagues or cups or something like that, give the teams in that difficult league something to aim for until the end?
Its down to players attitudes, plain and simple. When i first started playing in the sunday morning prem in the mid90's players would have a sense of loyalty and responsibility, if they said they would be there and were still pi55ed from the night before they would still do everything they could to get there and make sure they kept their word. The way the sunday morning league is now is a massive reflection on society as a whole, getting up early on a sunday morning is seen as an effort by many and this is where most of the problem lies. I dont know how some people have the gall to wake up at 9 on a sunday morning after giving their word they'll be there to play then think "fcuk that" and go back to sleep without a word of warning to anyone that they are not going to make it, none of them have the balls to even inform people they wont be there.
20-odd years ago there was a big deal about "kids having kids" in this country, and i think the consequences all over the social spectrum are now being fully realised, with local football being no exception.
Prem Dec 7 - Parkway 6 in the prem this morning with J Graham, C Brown, I Bradbury and S Eason all scoring for and losing with Parkway... what a game!
