In the hall of fame
Saturday January 21st

With Kings Cliffe, ourselves & Eye all having dropped the same number of points, this Saturday's game with Eye for Sports is 1 that neither side would want to lose if we are keep tabs on Pinchbeck.
I said at the start of the season that those other 3 are the teams to beat and stand by that. Indeed with the recent personnel changes at the various clubs and the signing of the likes of Jamie Graham and Dwayne Rankin, Eye would have to be considered as strong and experienced as anyone now so a really tough ask for our still young side, though we put in a really competent shift at Crowland Saturday to set ourselves up nicely for the challenge.
Even came into the Blue Board after to have a chat with the Eye lads, with the likes of Doggett and Chris Kaye keen to remind us that them and a few others hadn't played in the reverse fixture when we won. Shame Gino & Al had left, and I must admit it is not always easy to stay out after 6 as middle age creeps up on you!
Hope we get a good turnout (no idea why) and that it turns out to be a decent game.

Warming the bench for the 1st team
Thanks for calling me young!
Was a good performance on a poor pitch and one that was much needed and expected after last weeks debacle!
It should be a good game with both sides full off attacking talent and I think we also had a few missing in the fixture at their place and also in the cup at ours so no excuses either way. I am looking forward to locking horns with old friends such as Doggett, Kay & the best player around Mr Graham as well as the management team of Hale & pace - sorry Gino & Al
We now enter a run of games which will have a big say on the final outcome for ourselves of the season as we play Eye, Oundle, Pinchbeck & Coates. Hoping for a decent gate although Posh are at home but should be a good game never the less

Called up to the national squad
I would expect Eye to beat Sports convincingly.

Just saying it as i see it Darren,i think that had Eye started the season with the side they have now they would have gone a lot closer to winning it.I just think that all over the pitch they have a lot more to offer than yourselves.Just my opinion.

Difficult to argue with your view Tom and I have to say that anything we get from games against the big 3 are something of a bonus, and so far we have 2 wins and 1 defeat so that side has not been a problem.
Whilst Eye have improved their side immensley, our departures have obviously been quality players, which is why 2 of them have gone 2 steps higher but I would say that our recent acquisitions give us more options and a more solid (and taller!) looking outfit. Type of game that gets the juices flowing and I am sure we are all relishing the challenge.

And respect your opinion Mr Flynn as always.
We seem to bring our "A" game for the big ones and so I am hoping we will do the same this week and the next few as we look to mount a challenge. Tommy C is right in that the loss of a few players has seriously affected us in key positions but we will fight on.
Am looking forward to it and is why I keep playing at my tender age!
