Ross, or, anyone else for that matter - do you know whether referees stas are compiled and available at our level, much along the lines of the "Professional" referees stats i.e. numbers of yellow and red cards shown in a season?
I have asked a similar question to Cambs F.A and await their response, after all they now publish an individual players booking and sending off information so it should be a simple enough task to collate, if indeed it isnt aleady being done - hence the question.
I really would like to be able to see which referees are making the biggest contributions towards the revenue that is currently rasied for the F.A.
Mick, as a League we do not keep records of individual referee cautions or misconduct, it will be interesting to see if County's do ( and wether they think it appropriate to release the stats). I am more than ready to publish my own personal "record" if anyone is interested, but no one else's without their permission. However we do list each club in a "league table", as this is required by The FA as part of the Respect Programme. Perhaps we should publish this table here on PST and then everyone can see which club contributes most to the County FA's revenue. I see where Mick's coming from though but ref's rarely swear at players, kick them or take the odd swipe at an opponent, even though I sometimes feel it necessary. Ref's commit many other sins, like getting decisions wrong but it's done in the best possible taste (honestly)!
These are personal views only and not necessarily those of the PDFL.

Norman, as ever thank you for the prompt resonse and information - still waiting for the response from County F.A. but to explain where I am coming from, I certainly dont have any hidden agenda for asking the question but am concerned that the current line being taken by national F.A. is that the application of the "rules" is implemented in black and white - i.e. leaving very little manouvre for the official to "interpret" the rule or apply common sense - In my opinion in order for that appoach to work, the official concerned would surely need to match up to some specific national criteria i.e in terms of fitness, ability, Class grading etc - Now at our level, with respect, I dont believe thats achievable so would then reasonable expect that F.A. would allow a certain degree of latitiude to be applied - I dont believe thats the case and by being able to see the stats of the referees I would expect to be able to back up my suspicions.
Lets be honest, troublesome players gain a reputation, which becomes well known to all involed in local football and as those said players now have their disciplinary records freely available surely its only right that officials, with similar reputations locally have the records on the bookings and sending offs they issue similarly freely accesible to clubs.
Got a response from County - which in itself is a step inthe right direction - but as expected the infromation I require isnt likely to find its way onto the public domain - ah well no harm in trying, pity that even with the best intentions, never going to convince veryone and suspicions will remain..........
