What is all this shaking hands rubbish before a game now.Never happened in my time and i dont agree with it now.All for show methinks.Yes for Managers, no for players.Just get down to the battle ahead and if you want to shake hands afterwards when youve kicked 7 bells out of each other then fair enough. Rant over.

You talking about the respect handshake Tom? Most leagues in my experience like you to do it, particularly in my neck of the woods. It's even on the team sheets.
Edit: your post was the 40,000th Tom. Wow!
Well done Mr Flynn sir - and just think thats nearly as many as Posh get through the gates in a season !!!!![]()
What have i won Ross?Do i have to shake hands?
Tom Flynn
Yep well done
I think handshakes after a game is fantastic, before it not so sure tho.. But after the game regardless of the outcome of the game unless a serious incident has occurd then players should be able to shake hands, it shows sportsmanship and respect for your fellow pears! I for 1 always make an effort to shake a full oppositions teams hand after a game win lose or draw as it shows that i have integrity and sportsmanship.. I hate it when a player walks off the pitch after losing with that kind of attitude.. After all we play the game for the love of the game and yes i hate losing but thats not the team i have just played against fault... I even shake the refs hand after the game even if he did have a stinker...
Tell all the tims ye no Rangers are gonna get 4 in a row!!! Bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy lalalalalala
We had to shake hands before UCL matches when I was with Bourne/Huntingdon.
I also shake the refs hand too Shaun, even if he has had stinker, as when you raise any contentious incidents with them they can see that you are being constructive and not just a sore loser.
What has made you say this Tom, is it just a general question or is this being introduced into our league?
I got a rollicking for not doing the respect handshake before a game. League were not pleased that I didn't do it.
